1023 Letters"Still nothing?" Minjeong asks subtly as she scoots beside Ningning who was leaning on the iron rail on the hallway of their classroom.
No answer. The younger girl's eyes were fixated on the sky as if she were having a silent conversation with the clouds slowly roaming above their heads.
Minjeong lightly elbows her friend to get her attention. "The letters." She repeated. "You've been so out of it for some time now."
Ningning ignored the light teasing tone laced in her friend's concern. She knew better than to bite back at Minjeong's jabs.
"Come on, its just been what? Two or three weeks?" Minjeong counters when Ningning retreated at the shade of their room. "Don't tell me you're already missing this secret letter sender?" That got Ningning's attention and she knew it by the way she huffed in utter annoyance.
"Oh zip it."
But Minjeong was never the one to listen. She's the one who keeps Ningning rooted. "How long have they stopped sending?"
Ningning ignored her and hastily slips onto her table.
"Five days?" Minjeong ponders.
"Four?" She guesses again. She was about to try for another when Ningning finally answers.
"Three." She mutters under her breath, eyes directly looking at Minjeong. A warning for her to stop.
