Parenting 101"Mommy?”
“Yes?” Tiffany looked up from her work. In front of her stood a little girl with teary eyes. “What’s wrong? Did you hurt yourself?”
The girl shook her head and fidgeted with the hem of her shirt. “Where is Umma?”
“Uh, she went to the grocery store.” Tiffany got worried when the girl trembled while trying to hold back her tears. “Why?” She scooted closer to her daughter and hugged her.
“I- I.. accidently broke Umma’s crayon. The one s-she bought in Paris,” Naeun said with a cracked voice.
Tiffany patted her daughter’s head, relieved that nothing bad had happened to her. She looked at her daughter’s face. “When Umma gets back, apologise to her. But I’m sure it’s not a big deal, Naeun-ah. Don’t worry too much,” assured Tiffany. “Now do you want something to eat?”
The little girl nodded, although the unsettling feelings still lingered and it showed on her face.
As Tiffany fixed breakfast for her daughter, the front door opened and in walked Taeyeon, who had just got back from grocery shopping. Naeun immediately ran and hid behind Tiffany, which caused the woman to burst out laughing at the adorable antics.
Taeyeon made her way towards the kitchen to store the groceries, seemingly clueless about the situation. “Are you preparing breakfast?” She asked her wife.
“Yes.” Tiffany held back a snicker.
The clueless Taeyeon finally sensed a small figure behind Tiffany. “What are you doing there, Naeun-ah?”
