Chapter Six : Momo's Memories
DON'T LET ME GOWe arrived at on old cemetery, I looked around and noticed that there are still some humans come here to visit their loved ones who are buried here. I glanced at the girl I am with. Mina Myoui, why do you look so familiar? I know that five years ago wasn't our first meeting without you eve knowing, I know that I met you before everything that is before us.Just.. who are you and why is your presence has such impact on me. Why can't I remember the time I knew I had met you.
"Momo-chan?
I blinked, ah crap. I stared too long at her, I must've made her uncomfortable, those eyes.. I knew that really I saw that somewhere. I just don't know when and where, I felt someone held on the sleeve of my jacket and turn my head to her, she just looked at me while holding onto my sleeve.
"Let's go.. I just want to introduce you to somewhere." I spoke when I looked away from her, just to avoid those look of her eyes.
"Who?" I heard her ask and held my wrist, I wasn't nervous because she only held my wrist. She won't notice and discover what I am.
I didn't answer her and started walking, she just followed my footsteps while she held my wrist against my sleeve. I looked at the old withered trees when we go further deep in the cemetery, it was getting cold again and I felt her hand grip me a little tight. I turned my head to look at Mina who is looking down just to avoid the wind hitting her face or something. I moved my hand and made her let go of my wrist, she looked at me surprised when I removed my leather jacket and placed it over her shoulder and hugged it on her body.
"You should've brought something to warm you up." I said looking at my jacket, I noticed the small yet warm smile formed onto her lips.
Mina muttered a 'thank you' to me before I turned my back on her, I started walking again. I know she's just beside me. She won't get lost.
Soon we arrived at two tomb stones, It was very old but I clean it once in a while just preserve the stone from.. I don't know.. 200 or 500 years ago? I lost track how long I have been living now. I stopped infront of them and kneeled down, looking at the faded names. Even them, I already forgot who they were but I know they were the people who used to take care of me when I was a kid, I didn't bother to figure out their names were. As long I am visiting them, I know they are happy that I still come by when I have time yet I know they were disappointed on what a monster I turned into.
"Is this your.." My mind snapped back to reality when I saw Mina right beside me, her hand brushed against the old stone to make off the names on it. I doubted she could even see what was written there,.."Parents?"
I looked at her, how my jacket hugged her body just to keep her warm. Her skin full of life unlike mine, just pale. I forgot how the human heart even functions now, how it pumped the blood throughout the body giving warmth and giving the life to go on.
"Momo-chan?"
