Dinner
Secretary's SecretOver an entire week had passed by, ever since Eunbi's discovery of Sojung's fiance.
At first... specifically, the first day she had to go back to work right after that night, Eunbi was absolutely dreading it in the morning.
She expected herself to be more angry towards the older, to be more agitated or even aggressive, but ever since stepping into that office, the blonde just concluded it was never going to happen.
It was never going to happen because the entire day was just plain awkward.
Kim Sojung, one of the most headstrong, stubborn, and intimidating woman the blonde's ever met, couldn't look her in the eye even once.
Their words were limited to work-related exchanges only, and other than that, the two would just work in a very dragged out uncomfortable silence that just seemed like it would last forever.
Honestly, the word 'awkward' was probably not even enough to cut it because the whole atmosphere just felt like it weighed a ton.. at least for Eunbi anyway.
During the beginning stages of that week, she had actually feared that her remaining time within Aphrodite's Fashion was going to be just as agonizing for as long as her contract was still in check... but the week went by... Eunbi... believe it or not... just started acclimatising to it... in fact, they both did.
The first two days may have been bad, but afterwards... it just became the new norm....
Actually, if Eunbi had a say in it, she'll think that it's because the way they are now wasn't that much different to how they were before when Eunbi first started her secretary position, with the only difference being, was back then, they just didn't have much to say to each other...
And now... they just had way too much to say... but none wanted to bring it up...
Either way...upon many surprises, the new tension between them hadn't at all affected their actual productivity within the office... in fact it had been exceling recently... maybe due to the fact that both women were using that matter as an excuse to avoid the overall topic.
That topic being;
How Eunbi never gave the word to Sojung to end their affair.
It was in the back of both their heads... but with how things are proceeding these days, Eunbi hardly thinks it even matters now.
It wasn't like they had engaged with each other ever since anyway... if anything, it was honestly just silent... silent to the point that as the week had progressed, the blonde had started to almost make peace with it... had begun to conclude that their little situation had ended naturally by itself and she and Sojung had just silently come to the same agreement...
It's what Eunbi had somehow convinced herself of anyway...
That is...
Until now...
Coming back to finish off her final report after visiting the humanitarian sector, she stops right outside the CEO's office door, her hand on the doorknob, she was just about to turn it when the faint noise of Sojung and another man's voice coming from inside... effectively madethe blonde woman freeze on the spot.
That man's voice... it had seared itself into Eunbi's brain and not even the latter is aware of why she knows... but she is sure of it...
She's sure that the man talking is no doubt Sojung's fiance.

"You know I'm only doing this because I care about you right?" Eunwoo spoke softly, inching closer to the CEO as he gently grabbed her arm.
"I know I know" Sojung would sigh "I'm sorry, it's just... you know things are, it's stressful, I just need to work things out"
"Of course, that's why I'm here isn't it? Here I got you dinner again as well." Sojung's fiance sets the bag on the CEO's table before taking one step closer to his supposed lover, only stopping on his tracks once the other woman also takes a step back. "What's wrong?" Eunwoo raises an eyebrow.
"Nothing"
"I'm not blind Sojung, you've been wary of me... you've been wary of me ever since-" He cut himself off there... stopping the very words he knew would
