Love Charm: the value of affection beyond friendship
Description
"Love is friendship set on fire." - Jeremy Taylor
Jessica Jung grew up in the close-knit environment that was the SM Family. She never worried about meeting new people because she would always have them. Even after she started working, they all worked together, so they were always by her side. As a result she became shy and uncomfortable around strangers near her own age. She was able to comfortably able to treat adults respectfully and younger people as cute dongsaengs, but she was uncomfortable making new friends.
However Tiffany Hwang (real name Stephanie), her friend and groupmate, had a natural skill for in and made friends left and right. One day Tiffany decided to introduce Jessica and Taecyeon. Taecyeon was Tiffany's close friend since before debut.
Though he appears outwardly loud and dorky, Taecyeon is really a quiet and reserved person with deep thoughts who cherishes his friendships. Tiffany thought Taecyeon might be the one to
break Jessica out of her shell. Taecyeon immediately saw Jessica for who she was and believed he found a kindred spirit.
After Jessica and Taecyeon meet several times with Tiffany and Wooyoung, they become a lot closer. They are both people who have many friendships, but cherish a select few with whom they form strong attachments. As they get to know each other better, they mistake the sparks flying between them as a close bond.
Yoona was busy with her schedule when Jessica and Taecyeon's friendship began. However, after learning about it, she too wanted to become friends with Taecyeon. Yoona is overtly and sometime inappropriately friendly with all her friends and is often mistaken for having deeper feelings. Taecyeon becomes one of her inadvertent victims.
Will it be too late for Taecyeon and Jessica?
Foreword
I was inspired to write this story after seeing photos of Jessica and Taecyeon together. Though no apparent affection between them was displayed, I got the impression that they had a strong, comfortable relationship. In this story I construe this impression as a friendship that becomes romantic relationship.
A TaecSica story with a little WooFany thrown in. I now have an idea of the direction this story is going in, but I'm not sure how it will develop. It will follow a timeline more or less in sync with the lives of the real people, but it will take some liberties. So you can imagine it as the lives of the idols that the public doesn't see.
This is my second attempt at a fanfic. I started writing one on another forum, but never finished it. So I don't know how long it will take me to write, or how committed I will be to finishing it, but here it goes. Please tell me what you think as it will encourage me to keep writing! Please subscribe too!
