Prologue:-
A busy shop, bustling with pregnant mothers and young parents buying their necessities that were currently on sale. Two mothers stood side by side while examining the baby clothes on the racks, completely unaware of each other. A beatiful baby on each other's arms. Without paying heed to the other mother, one stepped closer to the boys section, stepping closer towards the other.
A second passed...two passed...three pass--when a small rosy hand reached forward. The other child sensing the approaching hand blinked its dove like eyes open, yawning its tiredness away cutely. Curious it also reached out a hand. As if the marathon was taking place, the seconds passed by slowly until the tiny hands finally met.
A spark of shock spread through their small and fragile bodies. The hands tighetened around each other...when with no warning the mothers began to pull away from each other, ready to check out. Reluctantly the hands separated, remaining outstretched as if wanting to clasp each other again.
6 years later....
The rain beat down heavily on the sullen children, a burned house and a broken car. Two kids stood by each other, the elder aged around 7 holding tightly onto the hand of the younger around 4, as if fearing that letting go of his hand would allow for the younger to disappear. The younger on the other hand was bawling his eyes out unable to comprehend his surroundings.
The elder stood still, golding back his emotions...if he felt any at all...regardless of the fact that his parents now lay dead in front of his eyes. He did not move neither did he utter a sound as the distant rings of the police siren sounded.
