Amber could never wish this life of hers upon anyone. She watched as the world changed around her. She watched as the people she loved lived their lives. She watched as they grew older, their lives grew shorter, and finally she watched as they took their last breath.
The world, the people, the seasons changes around her, but she remained an unchanging constant.
An immortal life doesn’t grant you all the happiness in the world. In fact – for Amber – it striped it away. All she ever wanted was to live a normal life. She wanted to find love, starts a family and grew old with people that she loves surrounding her.
That all changed when she met him. The one that gave her hope for a life that she longed for; the one that also snatched away her dreams.
He was the embodiment of light and dark, of good and evil, of heaven and hell.
Millennia passed since she met the man that changed her life. She was a lonely soul, undying, she walked the earth unaccompanied. She distanced herself from humanity. She couldn't endured what she had to go through again.
That was what she believed until she met a boy, he was actually a young man, but to Amber he was just a boy. His persistency rattled her resolved. What would happen if she opened up her heart again?
