Long ago, millions of galaxies away, EXO Planet was caught in the center of a raging space war. Countless enemies battled the EXOtic warriors in order to gain control over the Tree of Life, the very source of all life on EXO Planet. For generations, twelve elite werewolves - the EXO Warriors - were given the task of guarding the Tree of Life from attack. But the new enemies grew stronger as they joined together, and EXO Planet was losing the war. When it seemed like all hope was lost, a prophecy was revealed on the night of an eclipse.

After the revelation, the planet’s High Council made a decision. They convinced the current EXO Warriors to travel to Earth until they were strong enough to take back EXO Planet. Their memories were erased to ensure their safety, and they were immediately transported, each warrior separated from the others. The planet’s wise man, Elder Lee, took the job of keeping an eye on the warriors from captivity. When he saw that they were ready, he would use his magic to escape and find them. However, after hundreds of years, the time still had not come, and the EXO Warriors passed shortly after their memories were restored. Their children had inherited their powers and abilities, and Elder Lee sent special Protectors to keep them safe from harm.
