All my life, I've left my troubles by the door.

Nothing good ever came of holding them close or trying to pick them them apart. 

And maybe you were thinking that you thought you knew me well enough.

But no-one ever knows the heart of anyone else,lest you worm your way in. 

 Letting someone in was an action so foreign, to witness all the broken and twisted things that had nestled too comfortably under his skin.

His 'friends' had always said he was someone who cared deeply for his loved ones and that they'd always be grateful for that.

But where were they when he actually needed the support himself?
