'Pag tayo'y matanda na, sana ---'Park muna ang pangarap.
Seulgi had no choice but to do this as she needed to find another source of income asap. The world wouldn't end because you failed. Life would go on. There will be bills that need to be paid, especially after you've graduated. Hence, a month after she got the news that she didn't pass the licensure exams, Seulgi had to settle for looking for an online job first - not that there's anything wrong with going for one, but it's not just her.
She eventually found one, something that's enough to get her by. Something that will enable her to support herself. This is far from her dream, but she needed to survive. So this is what her life has become, fresh from graduation. It's a damning shortcut to the state of being jaded.
"Wala namang masama diyan 'pre, pinark mo lang naman pangarap mo," Joy tried to comfort her. "Hindi mo naman totally inabandona."
"Hindi ko lang kasi inexpect na ganito kaaga 'tol," Seulgi said.
"The moment na nakaalis ka ng unibersidad, pinasapak ka kaagad sa realidad."
"Wala 'pre, hindi tayo anak ng mafia e," Joy said, shaking her head.
"Ayaw mo naman maghanap ng sugar mommy, so paano na 'yan."
"Gagi ka talaga 'tol," Seulgi said.
"Pero kasi alam mo namang hindi lang pera hanap ko," she sighed.
Joy nodded and leaned her head on Seulgi's shoulder.
"Alam ko. Gusto mo talaga maprotektahan 'yang mga halaman at patanim. Kaya ka nga nagpaka-bibo sa plant
