Twenty-Five
Her"Did you eat yet?" is the first thing she asked when she pulled away. "'Cause I cooked something earlier." she said as she wipe her tears.
"Really? Where?" I asked once I took my seat then she showed me tofu and brocolli stir fry.
"Let me heat it up first." I smiled as I watch her prepare me a meal even though she just stopped crying. This is her side that most people don't see often. Jessica may be nonchalant to others but with the people she care about, she's different.
"So have you talked to her? About things?" she broke the silence.
"Yeah." I simply answered, not knowing what to say next.
"And how do you feel about it?"
"I don't know." I told her truthfully while looking down. "I can't say I'm okay now 'cause I'm not. I actually think I'd hold a grudge because of it." I chuckled awkwardly.
"I can't blame you." she took a seat across me. "It's not something you could just move on from. The trust will never be the same."
"Exactly." I let out a sigh.
"But no matter happens, just don't make a fool out of yourself again, Taeyeon." she looked at me in the eyes. "Or else I'll punch you in the face."
Both of us laughed. "I don't want to experience that. I've seen you play whac-a-mole."
"Yeah, I'll whack your head even." she glared at me but I found it cute. I love it when she gets playful like this. "I'm serious about what I first said, midget."
"Yes, Sica. I'll keep that in mind." I gave her a reassuring smile.
The microwave made a 'ding' sound just in time so she went to get the food. I thought I was going to eat alone but she joined me as well which makes it better.
As we eat together, she kept on looking at me, waiting to get a reaction. "It's delicious." I told her.
"You're lying. You just don't want to make me feel bad." she pouted.
"No, really. It's just right for my taste." I assured her. "This is the first time I get to taste something you made."
"Well, is it any better than Tiffany's?" she asked and I shook my head, causing her to laugh.
"Don't worry, I can always cook for the both of you anyway." I told her. I also did the dishes after we eat then proceeded to prepare for dinner. I missed being in here. I missed being in charge of the kitchen hehe.
While waiting for the water to boil, I looked for Sica and found her sleeping on the sofa in the living room with the TV on. I noticed her hand is hanging so I placed it on her stomach before turning the TV off. Seeing her asleep is not really new to me anymore but there's just something about her that makes me want to stare.
AUTHOR's POV
Taeyeon thinks if Jessica opens her eyes right now, she'd definitely think she's a creep, standing there and staring at her as she sleep but Taeyeon just couldn't stop for some reason. Jessica have always been beautiful in her eyes. Even when she cries, Taeyeon thinks she's beautiful.
Her mind was then bugged when Tiffany came out of her room. "Tae?"
Taeyeon blinked her eyes numerously, "Yes?"
"What are you doing over there?"
"I turned the TV off. Sica left it on." she told the redhead and went back to kitchen. "I just started cooking. I didn't think you'd wake immediately."
"It's okay. Thank you, Taetae." Tiffany smiled at her before heading in the bathroom. Oh, how Taeyeon missed being called Taetae.
Taeyeon took her time cooking honey garlic shrimp and crab and corn soup as well as Tiffany wait for her at the table.
"It smells so good. I can't wait to eat." Tiffany enjoyed the aroma roaming around the unit.
"It's good that you're actually excited. Sica told me you haven't been eating much these days." Taeyeon glanced at Tiffany as she stir the soup.
"Because there's nothing to be excited about when we cook." Tiffany joked making Taeyeon laugh.
"I heard that." Jessica, st
