Thank you all for your love and support for Moment of Tangency! Moment of Tangency was my submission for Jinjoo Fiesta S2 Swan's Secret Story.  Please check out the rest of the thread here. There are a lot of amazing stories! (link here) 

I requested not to be revealed as the author simply because I was not satisfied with what I had submitted. There were a few issues here and there with the story (such as grammar, pacing, and formatting). Most of these issues such as grammar and pacing were my fault as the author, and because Moment of Tangency is a story that I hold close to my heart (as I do with all my other stories), I was angry at myself for the neglect that I had imposed on my oneshot.

I got the idea of the title "Moment of Tangency" because I had stumbled upon a fantastic Youtube series called Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows, check it out if you have the time! It is incredible (link here)! 

This plot came to me while I was listening to the songs, The Reaper by keshi (link here), If the World Was Ending by JP Saxe and Julia Michaels (link here) and then followed by the song I don't want to watch the world to end with someone else by Clinton Kane (link here).

I thought it would be an interesting concept if the person who was fated to be your soulmate, was also fated to be your "reaper". If you knew, would you stay with the person because they make you happy? Or would you leave them for the sake of your own life? If they knew, would they leave you out of selfless-ness in order for you to be happy? Or would stay with you to pursue their own happiness?
