XVI: Dad Is A Hero
A Part Of Me Is YouXVI
Pages after pages, Moon Chae Won was looking through Jung Soo's photos.
"Mom," the five year old boy sat next to her mother. Snuggling from her side, he joined her mother in reminiscing his early years, the years he barely remembers.
"This was you when you first learned how to walk," she tearfully recalled.
Jung Soo watched himself on printed photos as his mother flips through the pages. When she paused on a certain page for quite too long, Jung Soo turned to her. He noticed how her eyes twinkled with crystal clear liquid. "Do you miss daddy?"
She nodded slightly, "Umm, every single day."
Jung Soo turned back to the photo of him being carried by Seung Joon, they both had a big smile on their faces. "Me too, I miss daddy every day too," the young boy said as he hugged his mother from the side. "He was like a real dad to me," he whispered.
His innocent words were like a dagger thrown right through her heart. She tightened her hold on him, just as much that it won't hurt. "I'm sorry," she whispered back.

"Welcome to the Christian world, Jung Soo."
As early as six months Jung Soo was already baptized. It was a decision made after discussion between Chae Won and her parents. At first, Chae Won wanted her child to have the freedom to choose his religion but after discussing with her parents she had his baptism early. When Jung Soo is on his right age, if he wants to, he could choose to change religion then.
Seung Joon and Hyo Joo are his main Godparents, thus, he calls them daddy and mommy respectively.
"Jung Soo, now I officially become your Godparent. You can call me daddy from now on," Seung Joon encouraged the innocent baby.
Hyo Joo hissed, "Your ways Seung Joon, your ways."
They laughed.
"Jung Soo-ya, you can call me mommy now too," Hyo Joo whispered to the little boy making everyone burst into even more laughter.

Their teacher would also ask to share about their family; their mother, father and siblings if there's any. He silently observed his classmates talking lovingly about their father. It was when he knew there was lacking in his life but at the same time, he knew his situation wasn't wrong either. There are kids who are like him, and there are kids who aren't.
Naturally he got curious, he wanted to know about his father. For sure he already asked his mother about his father but he could not remember, nor he cared so much about the fact that he had an absent father. He was still a child, still innocent.
"Mom, where is my father?"
A question Chae Won had encountered few times before. "He's in a good place," "I'd tell you about him when you're older." Those where her answers every time.
