Breakthrough
1 Minute and 10 SecondsI heard the gasps around me. I saw through my peripheral that everyone's mouth is hanging ajar. Except for Yuri and Chaewon-unnie. Yuri is behind me so I don't see her expression. Gosh, why did I say that? I cleared my throat and continued, "Or Nako."
I slowly turn to look at Yuri. She is wearing a frown with a glint of hurt in her eyes. I immediately regret what I've said but it is irreversible now. I avoided her eyes as it pains me to see the hurt in her eyes.
I looked back at Chaewon-unnie, who still has her poker face on. I brought my head down in shame. She shoved me a little making me stumble back a bit. "I might have used too much power in calming her, it has affected the way she thinks."
I looked back at her with a shocked expression. Did she just-? Did she just save me? I looked at her, shocked.
She simply turns around and heads towards the exit. "I'll be heading out first, Tomi."
"You know her?" "Is she your sparring partner?" I heard Nako and Yuri speak, but my attention was not on them.
I quickly followed Chaewon-unnie out of the clinic. "Minju-ssi, we still have to examine you!" The nurse hollered. I ignored her and opened the door.
I saw Chaewon-unnie about to leap off so I quickly pulled her down with my powers. "What more do you want, Kim Minju?"
"Why did you say that? Why did you save me?" I asked her.
"It's true, I used my powers to calm you as you were about to lose your temper." She with a bored tone.
"No! I know what I said. I mean I don't but I mean I-." I flailed my arms around in frustration. "Point is I know that was not your powers that made me say that. So why did you say that?"
"Do I not always save your sorry ?" She said sarcastically. "However, do not let it get to your head. I am only doing it for Hitomi, not for you, definitely." She said seriously.
"You love her, don't you?"
"I do. What is it to you?"
"Does she know?" I asked ignoring her question.
She frowned, clearly annoyed at my pushiness. "I do not see how that concerns you."
"I'm telling her."
Suddenly, she was right in front of my face. I realized that my 10 seconds was over. "Do not meddle with my relationship with her or I will make you pay for it."
I smiled sweetly and took a step back. "So she doesn't know yet."
Realization wash through her face when it registered to her that she had just slipped. Her face grew furious and there was a blur. The next thing I know I was falling on my . "Ow! That was childish!"
"You are childish. I do not see the problem. I am just doing it your way." I said with finality and walked away.
I smile as she vanishes from my sight. You're not so bad after all.

The next day, I quickly move to sit beside Chaewon-unnie's chair. I poked her shoulders and waved at her enthusiastically. "Hello, unnie! How are you? My still hurts but it's okay now. I forgive you already!"
She frowned at me and collected her things to get up.
"Hey, sit back down! I want to be beside you!" She walked away and moved to a chair just beside the window. She made sure that I can't sit beside her because the seat beside her is already taken. I smiled sweetly (creepily) to the person seated. "Will you be nice and excuse yourself from that chair?" The boy quickly gathered his things and scramble away. I think I fought with him in the tournament that's why he's so scared of me.
"You don't give up, do you, Minju-ssi?" She told me with a glare.
"I warned you that I was stubborn and you're only realizing it now?" I said with a grin. I looked down on her chest and saw a necklace with a half-human, half-horse engraved in a circular pendant. "Is your birthday somewhere in November or December?" I said feeling proud I cracked a code.
"No. It's in August." She deadpans.
"Huh? Then why do you have a Sagittarius symbol on your neck?" I asked, pointing at the necklace.
She looked down and quickly shoved the pendant inside her shirt. "I am not obliged to explain anything to you." She said coldly. I pout at her, trying to guilt-trip her. But it didn't work. She was just staring straight ahead. Tsk. Goody two-shoes. She glared at me. My eyes almost budged out of my eyes. Did she just hear my thoughts? She diverted her eyes from me and said, "Stop staring. You're annoying." I eyed her for a while, not completely ready to rule out my theory. Was I just imagining it? I reluctantly shoved the thought at the back of my mind.

After class, I quickly held Chaewon-unnie in her seat. "What are you doing after this, unnie? I know a place that has good tteo-"
"No." She cut me as she tried to stand up from the chair. I pursed my lips sadly and let go of her. I took a step back from her so she'll have space. She narrowed her eyes at me before standing up from her chair and heading towards the door. I solemnly looked at the window and see the students walking out of the mansion. I jumped as I heard a loud bang on the ta
