The Summer Camp
RogueHere I am, staring at the intimidating enormous wooden doors of logs of the summer camp I was suppose to be in. I was almost shy to step forward to the minotaur guard as he saw me dumbly standing right there in the center of the woods.
Before I was perched here, the drive was a long way one with four hours in the cab, conversing and sharing stories with the driver half the way. I knew now the cab driver's life story along with his family situation with his wife and his children. He was having trouble with his wife as he was having an affair and his wife saw them. Moreover, his children couldn't even look him in the eye.
I gave him my opinion and lectured him why the hell was he having an affair when he was in fact, married? He couldn't reply as I scoffed but then remedied the situation with advices for making amends with his wife, and breaking up with his affair.
I couldn't even complain anymore as with my situation, I knew that having affairs was welcome here in a way because, well they were gods.
That was why we have separate cabins here to classify whoever child you belong to.
I was in fact blessed when I got the cabin all to myself as I'm the only child of Hades himself.
Mom told me that the reason why Hades only had me as his child was because he only came to earth one time and that was my mom.
You see, the story goes like this. Once upon a time when Hades and his wife Persephone had a fight. Well, it was a hard long fight as he was kicked out of his kingdom, The Underworld, and then came to earth. As you know, he wasn't really welcome to heaven.
He wandered in earth and then by some luck met my mom. Blah blah blah I will skip the cringy and rouchy part where they had and made me but then for a father, Hades opened his arms at me and accepted me as his heir.
Thankfully though, he didn't bother getting me in The Underworld as my mom wanted me to be on earth, in all times. Hades was very accepting about it.
He was glad that he made an heir, albeit kinda not expected as they only had a one night stand and my mom told me that she only liked him because of his godly looks and not because of his being because all he was paying attention was Persephone. Persephone this, Persephone that. Well, you know the case. And mom was contented in only having me.
And Persephone knew about my existence too. As my dad gushed to her about me and as she was truly kind hearted, she also welcomed me and a couple of times urged me to be in The Underworld, but I declined.
Moving back, he said that he wouldn't allow another child of his graced the earth as I'm enough already. And I knew for a fact that he was really head over heels for Persephone that he wouldn't bat an eye towards o
