Foreword
Humans need to express themselves through the making of arts. A writer writes to ease her pain in life, and to answer the question: "who am I"? I decided to write a story about dancers not without risk. I have never been into dancing and seldom appreciate the art form until the day I watched girls in Produce 48 dancing. The first and the last Center of "Pick Me", Miyawaki Sakura, caught my attention. Miyawaki's dancing was graceful and full of details while her best friend, Lee Chaeyeon captured me by the velocity, agility, and flares colors in her dancing. Every time I see them dance I will ask myself, who are the girls behind all those movements, and what are they trying to express when they dance?
"The Grocery Store" started to have developed a life of its own after the first few chapters and I cannot control its direction anymore. I became the writing tool instead of an author.
Doing art is a self-destructive creative process when the artist burns up oneself to bring light to others.
