"Will you stop nudging me?"
"Stop pushing me then!"
"Changkyun, I love you, but if you step on me one more time - I will obliterate you."
Hanna and Changkyun stood in the hallway opposite from their's as they tried to peek in through the tiny window built into Jooheon's classroom's door. Restless and frustrated, the pair had resulted to battling each other for dominance - a sort of childish game revolving around who could garner Jooheon's attention first.
So far, they were both losers.
"Just tap on the window," Changkyun hissed under his breath, fingers that raised to follow through with his statement being caught by Hanna's hand that squished the digits into her palm.
"Are you insane?"
Eyes wide, Changkyun slowly turned his head towards her's - lips slightly parted as a brow arched high onto his forehead. Voice barely a whisper, he nodded.
"At the moment, yes because you won't let me do it the easy way. We've been standing out here for twenty minutes!"
Folding her arms across her chest, Hanna shot him a narrow-eyed glare, "All you're going to do is make things more difficult for us."
Changkyun mimicked her body language - arms folding and eyes squinting in a speculative manner as he tilted his head to the side.
"Why?"
"It's just not a good plan," her retort was as quick and sharp as his as she watched his head shake to flip sable hair from his eyes.
"Why? Because it'll actually work?"
"Actually, quite the opposite," Hanna explained before gesturing towards the door. "If you tap, the teacher is going to hear you and then we're going to get in trouble for skipping class."
There was a pause of silence as the pair stood there, motionless - eyes locked into an unwavering glare. Too entranced in their staring showdown, the pair were oblivious to the soft click of a lock being twisted until the door swung open to reveal Jooheon's arched brow face. Hanna and Changkyun jumped - their arms briefly wrapping around each other as they shared a muffled scream until they realized their actions; arms quickly falling to their sides as they shifted away from each other.
"The teacher already heard you," Jooheon tapped against the window's glass lightly. "The doors and walls aren't that thick."
At his friends' wordless acknowledgements, Jooheon sighed, "Now you two aren't going to talk?"
Rubbing the back of her neck, Hanna chuckled awkwardly, "Can you step out here for a second, please?"
Glancing at the teacher who continued the lesson, his back turned towards his students, Jooheon quickly nodded as he quietly stepped out into the hallway. Anxiously surveying their surroundings, he faced the pair, but his eyes strayed towards Hanna as he spoke.
"What is it that you two need? Is everything okay?"
"Yes, of course," Hanna smiled before fishing into her backpack. Her best friend watched as she pulled out the folded letter, his eyes slightly widening as she explained their reasoning for skipping class. "You should ditch and join us."
"Why?"
in a breath, Hanna waved the letter in the air, "Because we're going to find who keeps sending these to me."
This time it was Jooheon who grew mute. Lifting a brow, Changkyun folded his arms across his chest with an exasperated sigh, "Are you coming with us or not?"
"I don't know if that's such a good idea," his voice was nearly a whisper, almost as if he were talking to himself rather than the shorter male who rolled his eyes upon hearing the answer. A pout formed upon Hanna's lips as she grasped onto her best friend's wrist.
"Please, Joohoney? I promise it'll be fun," she cooed as she gave his arm a wiggle. "We can go eat afterwards."
White teeth poking out to gnaw on the delicate flesh of his bottom lip, Jooheon nodded before shooting her a dimpled grin, "Very well, I'll go!"
Changkyun scoffed upon spectating the duo, dark hair falling into his eyes as he nodded towards Jooheon, "What? So you agree when she asks you, but not to me?"
His question was ignored, however, as Jooheon retrieved his backpack before rejoining his friends. A v
