There's a low knock at the door, he nervously turns the knob and opens the door to see his sleepy friend standing there with a small grin planted across his face.

"Hi," Jin whispers at the younger who chuckles lightly at him as he whispers hello back.

He moves to the side letting the male in, quietly closing the door behind them before they walk to his room. He takes a seat on his bed patting beside him for the younger to sit, he looks hesitant but takes a seat next to the older anyway.

They are silent sparing small glances and smiles at each other, unsure of what to say. "So we like each other?' Jin speaks, fiddling with his crooked digits as he looks anywhere besides Namjoon.

"Yeah," Namjoon breathes out with a smile. "Why are we so awkward? We've been friends since forever. I want to be your boyfriend, Jin. Do you want to be with me?"

Jin looks up into Namjoon's eyes. Its Namjoon his childhood best friend and crush everything in his head is screaming for him to say yes but in the end...


 





 

"No, I don't. Let's stay friends Namjoon-ah."

Chapter 27: Wow kudos to jimin and jk! Theyre the bravest here! I mean letting go someone you love just for them to be happy T^T and yes jin!! Im glad he didnt accept joon as his boyfriend. (Im still pushing my jinkook agenda lmao) but i think along the way jin realised that whats best is for him to love himself more than anyone else. But also... is it okay to get my hopes up about jinkook?

I was a bit taken aback at the scene when jin was breaking up with kook. He said “i still love you, but he’s my bestfriend”. Jin was saying he loves kook? I didnt know because i was so sure jin tried being with kook only because kook likes him and he wanted to forget joon so when he said that and he refereed to joon as his bestfriend kind of tells me that maybe just maybe he moved on from loving joon in a romantic way and he just loves joon as a bestfriend and he somehow learned to love kook?
