a home for my heart
Description
Home is where the heart is.
Kris doesn't have either, of course, until he meets Tao.
Foreword
Kris gets used to Tao’s presence. He still finds it awkward, sometimes, but it’s probably his own fault. Tao is bright, clingy, and whines a lot, but he’s endearing. Sort of. Kris can’t really put a finger on it.
He isn’t an idiot, in more ways than just academics. He’s not like dense, Junmyeon. He knows that there’s something that draws him to Tao, that allows him to tolerate him. He’s been a lone wolf his entire childhood, but he feels like something is changing.
He feels, and it scares him, he thinks, staring up at his own ceiling on a Sunday afternoon.
It scares him because the last time he felt like this, cozy in the embrace of Miss Park’s mismatched apartment, he was left homeless again.
