Feed Your Demons (but read the fine print)
Description
Hello my little kittens! I'm back! After getting my throughly kicked last semester at school thanks to a basic accounting class I could not grasp the concepts in and only passed because the instructor gave me a pity grade, and three months of running an imaginary shoe company via simulator with two wonderful people who could not make a firm decision to save their lives in the capstone class for my degree, I've recovered and am now editing the hell out of what I have written for this so far. Hopefully it is worth the wait.
Foreword
Once again a supernatural Eunhae, or rather Haehyuk story! Unlike Ghost Husband, which was all cuteness and fluffy bunnies, this one has demons, and not just of the horns and pointy tails variety. I promise there will be a happy ending, but there are also mentions of abuse in the beginning, and I'm not just talking physical. If you think this may upset you, please go read Ghost Husband instead.
I'll try to keep things clear as I write and post, but here is some basic vocabulary I mostly adapted to fit my needs for this story
Incubus, plural incubi- demons who feed on , or rather the strong emotions that come attached to it. Unlike most stories, incubi aren't wanton seducers or rapists in this, well not any more than some humans might be. There are also no succubi, the female counterparts. Why? I don't want to wite about girls this time, that's why.
Demons- a generalized term for any number of types of supernatural beings. They aren't all bad, nor all good for the most part. Like most humans, they're a mix of both.
Feeders- humans who are willing to provide incubi with their non-physical dietary requirements. Often they're long-term lovers, but can also be one-night stands or short-term relationships if the feelings are intense enough
Bonding- when an incubus joins with a willing human to form a pairing of two beings in one mortal body. Mostly done so very young or weak incubi have a better chance of survival on surface earth, though occasionally a stronger incubus might do so for other reasons. An incubus who chooses to bond with a human makes caring for and protecting that human his highest priority, and it is not a contract that is ever made lightly.
Bondling- what either a bonded human or incubus refers to their other as
Surface earth- exactly what it says. It refers to where the humans live, rather than the underground realms where demons originate
Imprinting- a bit like when baby duckies follow the first thing they see after they hatch, it refers to a very rare phenomenon where an incredibly weak, vulnerable incubus/human pairing becomes completely dependent on another human, usually as a coping method after major trauma and only if that human is worthy of carrying such responsibility
