Solji was waiting patiently for LE to arrive at the café that they agreed to meet at for brunch. Solji was so excited that she reached thirty minutes earlier. Even though they’d broken up, Solji still thinks about LE a lot. More than anyone could ever imagine. They definitely had their differences but during those three years that they were together, Solji was the happiest.
When the clock strikes twelve, LE was seen walking through the door of the café.
“Sorry I was late.” LE apologised before handing Solji a paper bag. “I found this in my bedroom. Your favorite denim jacket.” LE said as Solji took the jacket out of the paper bag.
It saddens Solji even more, because after their breakup, Solji pleaded LE to let her keep her old oversized college t-shirt. Solji had to wear it every night to sleep, even till today LE’s scent lingers on the shirt. Now that LE returned her the denim jacket, her heart aches a little.
“Thanks, you can just keep it, though.” Solji said, but was disappointed that LE’s expression didn’t change a bit.
“I’ve a lot of denim jackets. I thought you’d miss wearing this jacket. You wear this a lot during winter, remember?” LE smiled softly but Solji knew that it meant nothing to the younger woman.
They ordered their food and LE foot the bill, just like how she always would when they were still dating. If anyone hadn’t know better, they’d think that they’re still an item. But sadly, their fate has ended.
One thing Solji noticed different about LE was that she kept using her phone. Solji would always take her phone away last time, but realised she has no rights to do that now.
“Solji-ah, what do you think of her?” LE shoved her phone into Solji’s face.
