For more information, see the Index or the Announcements.
Favorite Band By Region
This graph shows how many bands on average people from each region picked as their favorite bands.
You can see that North Americans tend to list more bands as their favorite than any other region, and so they are often quite visible in results that involve bands that have been listed as favorite. East Asians however are usually more conservative in their classification of favorite bands, on average having the least number of bands as favorites out of all the regions, and so can often be less visible.
Biggest Difference
The following bands had the biggest difference between the regions:
Smallest Difference
But this band had the smallest difference:
Entertainment Companies
It's interesting to see whether some companies are doing especially well in certain regions.
YG Entertainment
YG Entertainment seems to be doing especially well in Africa, as well as in North America, but strangely, less so in Australia.
JYP Entertainment
Interestingly, JYP Entertainment is doing extremely well in Africa.
SM Entertainment
We could not find any obvious trends involving the different regions when it comes to SM Entertainment.
Cube Entertainment
Cube seems to be doing quite well in North America.
TOP media
TOP Media seems to be doing pretty well in Australia and North America, but they have yet to conquer Africa.
Favorite Band by Gender
Only one band was most favored by boys:
But several were most favored by other gender:
Others were most favored by those with a secret gender:
No band was very strongly favorited by females compared to the other genders, However, there were those that were almost equally liked among all genders: Exo, Shinee, Super Junior, VIXX, Astro, NCT
Peculiarly, these are predominantly bands from SM Entertainment.
Favorite Band by Age
We saw all kinds of patterns with age.
There were bands that were especially favored among our older participants:
And those favored by our younger participants:
And then there were those with weird distributions that we did not expect:
And one final confession:
When we started this poll we were convinced that people who had 'secret´ age would typically be our oldest participants, shy to reveal their age. But it turns out that we were probably completely wrong! At least the secret age does not show any sign of being most similar to our oldest participants.
