A Not So Cinderella Story
Description
It's rare, one in a million odds, for a person to be born without a soulmate mark, and that's the only thing Nayeon can say she has in common with her country's prince, Oh Sehun. He was a prince after all and it was a huge commotion, or so her parents and other adults say, when he was born and it was announced (more like leaked) that he had no mark, but when Nayeon was born her parents didn't seem to mind since she had an older brother to carry on the family line. Their lives were very different . . .
Foreword
Sehun was attending one of the greatest universities in the country, while Nayeon only attended two years before dropping out to work full time at the Byun Family boutique.
Sehun was a star athlete, while Nayeon could barely run half a mile.
Sehun was always dressed in the best, while Nayeon wore basically the same thing every day.
Sehun was perfect in the eyes of their country, while Nayeon was merely useful in the eyes of her family.
They weren't completely opposite sides of the spectrum, but to Nayeon they might as well have been even when the country (and part of the world) went crazy about the prince gaining a soulmate mark, which was almost never heard of in the one in one million who were born without the mark. That was the day Nayeon gained a second thing in common with Prince Sehun.
I'm entering this story in the Diamond Flower writing contest. Take a look!
