Do surprising things
How to get over your crushEven when the morning comes, don’t disappear oh
This walk that I’m dreaming
You’re my only beautiful butterfly
It wasn’t the worst night of my life, I was positive others will come as well. However, it was bad. You can’t do anything but feel sad. Me with my unfortunate crush and my brother with his terrible game. It would have been better if they lost but played with honor. I didn’t want to put salt on Baekhyun’s wound so we didn’t talk about it.
The atmosphere was tense the following days. Hyorin and I stalked a bit the couple but didn’t really want to know more. We were expecting the official announcement. The other reason I didn’t want to pay much attention to Chanyeol was because of the he has been. No matter how in love he is, would his hands drop if he texted a small apology?
"I only fall for bad boys", I said to Hyorin eating a vanilla croissant. "I don’t want to, but it’s like I’m biologically attracted to them."
"Your imagination is going wild again", she replied. "Everyone has flaws, we just don’t see them as much when it comes to persons we are fond of."
"I want to get over him, I pity my own heart."
"You’re so dramatic. The thing that keeps bothering me is when I saw you leaving the night of the game. I could have sworn he was following you."
"Maybe he wasn’t done with the humiliation. Whatever, tell me how is your relationship going."
"Good", she said but from the smile on her face it was really going great. "He understood I didn’t date that guy too long, we just went to a few dates, that’s all. Kai is so kind and listens to me. He takes me out every week, it’s like our tradition. We went last night to eat cannoli at the cake shop we went. When we stalked Chanyeol, remember?"
"Of course, you don’t have to mention that loud."
"It rang my bell", said Hyorin getting closer to my face. "That night he went to a house with a cake. From my sources I found out that there is where Tiffany is leaving."
"Kind of late, it was slightly obvious, isn’t it?"
"Then why didn’t you make the connection? They were celebrating the contest she won, you told me about it."
"Her family knows him, that’s great, means things are serious", I sighed.
The classes kept me busy and the hope of Friday night when I could relax and maybe sink in pain and die was promising. Things at the orphanage were doing great. Suho asked me about the best way to invite a girl at the end of the year party.
"Do you have any ideas?", I asked.
"Not really, everything I think seems so tacky", Suho said.
"Oooo, someone is in love", I laughed. "Take her to a nice date, buy her flowers and if things go well, tell her about the party."
"It seems so easy, but where do I take her, what should we eat, how do I know what flowers she like, what if she is allergic?", he kept babbling without breathing.
"Stop it, breathe, there are many nice places in our town. But if you want to make sure nobody will see you so you, don’t feel embarrassed, you should go to the next town. Regarding the flowers, just text her, you can bring that up to have a nice conversation", I told him while washing some tomatoes. He was standing there, peeling some eggfruit, daydreaming.
"That’s clever, girl", he said patting my head. "I guessed I was just worried for nothing, but details are important, that’s why I was freaking out. Thanks."
It was nice seeing him smile. Why am I surrounded only by love birds? Working in the house, studying and my volunteering consumed my time. Friday finally came and I was enthusiastically waiting to relax at home. Coming late from my last class and some shopping (alone because Hyorin was happily eating steak with Kai 50 km from home) I opened the door only to find myself blinking hard.
My living room was filled with guys in their pajamas, my table, the one I was going to fill with the delicious food I bought was stuffed with food and drinks, my TV, where I was going to watch a comedy I planned watching for weeks was now on the sport program. It seemed like men’s heaven.
"Baekhyun", I shouted annoyed.
"Oh, hi, sister", he said coming from the kitchen with a slice of pizza in his hand. "Do you want some?"
"I’d rather have an explication."
"Well", he began scratching his head which only meant it was his brilliant idea. "The boys weren’t in a good mood so I decided to follow girl’s behavior and arrange a pajama party, that’s how it’s called right? But only manlier." My face was blunt by his explication.
"Why didn’t you do it somewhere else?"
"I thought you were going out with Hyorin." He looked at my bags and it finally hit I didn’t have any plans for tonight. "Oups, I forgot Kai wasn’t here because of her, but don’t worry, I won’t let you alone, you can party with us."
"I’m not a dude’s replacement", I told him clearly becoming angrier than before.
"Why not, you have the attitude of a dude?", Sehun said passing by with two slices of pizza in his hands.
"And you’ll have chubby cheeks with the amount of
