This Time: Ring
YoonHyun Story 308 | Ring
***
"He finally fell asleep." A huge relief of sigh escapes Yoona's lips, the moment Sky's eyes closes and soon after, cute and soft snores can be heard from him. They've been playing all day in the Mall's playground, to return what the little boy did to Ten back in the hospital. He is apparently smiling while sleeping, that only means, he's too happy for today. "Aigoo, I can't feel my legs." she fell on her back, holding into her legs. "Please give me a good massage, Seohyun Omma." she whines like a child.
"Yah! We have to go home now - don't have time for that." Seohyun stood up from her sitting position on the floor, holding Sky in her arms. She didn't wait for her wife's response and leads her out of the play ground.
"Aren't we going to drop by a cinema?" Yoona followed suit.
"Sky is sleeping. We can't bring him to the theater too, can we?" Seohyun reminded her wife about their son in her arms.
"Ah.. yeah." Yoona rubs the back of her neck, smiling awkwardly to her wife. She eventually held her on her waist with her one arm, as they stepped into the escalator.
"By the way, I haven't mentioned, Minyoung called again."
Yoona's eyes widened. "Chincha? What did she tell you?" And hoping Minyoung did not say something bad to her wife. As far as she recalls, the last time they met, that's when Seohyun attacked her. Hopefully she wouldn't take revenge or something.
"I really thinks you give your number to her, not because you applied to the company she's working."
"How many time I will tell you... " Yoona groans but she suddenly paused as the memories comes back to her. 'Sh*t, I did handed my phone the day I saw her on the lobby.'
"What? Did you remember something, Im Yoon?" Seohyun squints her eyes to her wife, somehow can see her wife is hesitating. "Aigoo, It doesn't matter anyway." But she decided to shrugs it off. Just like she promised, she will not bring the past again. "She's asking me to meet with her, but I did not respond."
"She called not because of me?"
"Yeah, and I wonder why?" Seohyun glances again to her wife, just to raise her brows towards her.
"I have no idea. I mean, it had been a while since we saw her. I think she has even got married."
"I doubt so. But it's good to know she's not calling about you. Otherwise, I would think differently."
"Joohyun, you promise." Yoona reminded as she sighed in the process.
"I was just kidding." Chuckled Seohyun, nudging her wife.
Yoona scoffs. "You know how to joke now, eh?"
"Wae? It's only you that knows it? You must be in delusions!" Seohyun shakes her head, totally disapproving.
"I'm not saying like that. I just-"
"So you forgot you gave your number to Minyoung, No?"
Yoona was taken aback, yet she nodded in response. "I'm sorry. I swear I just realized it now, upon learning she called again. Must be not of my resume." she retracted her hand from Seohyun's back, feeling a little ashame of herself.
"At least you did not save her number." Seohyun just casually replied. "Because If I saw it again, that means there's something going on between you two again."
"Yeah, yeah... can we not talk about Minyoung?" Yoona rolled her eyes back out of annoyance.
"But at least you're now honest, though you failed earlier."
Yoona sighed, doesn't want to talk anymore.
"Like I said, It doesn't matter now. So smile again little munchkin." Seohyun giggles and pinched her wife's cheek. The latter pout her lips cutely, causing for her to pinch her cheeks again. "Don't pout, you look like your son." she scolded.
"Im Sky is the cutest child I have ever seen, that means, I'm the cutest husband you have ever seen." Yoona's mood just eventually change as she flashed her wife a big grin.
"Err... I doubt that." Seohyun grimace. The moment they stepped out of the escalator, she immediately leads her wife again.
Yoona smiled like a fool and followed her wife immediately. She did not warn her as she peck on her cheeks. "You wait here. I'll get the car." And told her before she jogs away from the latter.
"Seriously." Seohyun's lips curved into a giddy smile, watching her wife's joyful back that she missed to see. She suddenly couldn't hold herself and her mind flashes back to the day Yoona proposed for marriage.
Flashback...
Seohyun just couldn't be more excited the moment she received a text from Yoona, her girlfriend, telling her that she already fixed the ballerina music box and it's good to be picked up from her house. So she just sprinted from their room to the parking lot, where her bike is being parked. She even have to ignore all the calls along the way from her classmates, so she could get on her bike and started pedling to Yoona's house. The girl has no class today; make sense why she finished it earlier than she expects to be.
However, when she passes by food stall in the side of the street, she u-turns and quickly get out of her bike. "Five sticks of cord dogs, Ahjumma." she quickly told the vendor, showing her brightest smile. Since Yoona would never accept any money from her, her best option is to buy her corn dogs, which is her all time favorite food. One stick wouldn't be enough for Yoona, so it's better to give 5. Or even ten. But she doesn't have a lot of money in her pocket, she can't afford it.
"Kamsamnida." As soon as she got the food, she bowed and stepped into her bike, once again peddling, faster than ever to her girlfriend's house.
Just approximately 30 minutes in the road, she arrived in front of their house, rings the bell and walks inside when the gate opens.
She's like a happy bunny, hopping and singing a children's song while she's heading to the entrance door.
She stopped in front of the door and slowly walks inside, "Yoongie? I'm here." She announced enthusiacally. Unfortunately, the living room is empty and there are these petals lining up in the floor, and looks like inviting her to wherever it will end. She got nervous, thinking there might be somebody else in the house that she doesn't know, like a thief? A kidnapper? Worse, a killer? "Yoongie, where are you?" As she began to shiver and tremble, she follows the petals, hoping and praying the petals will be a good thing at the end. Her heartbeats are rapid and she couldn't control it. "Yoongie-ah!!!" she couldn't also control herself and she screams. "I'm going out NOW!!!" changing her mind, she hastily turns on her back, but as she opens the door, it's locked, causing for her to began panic. Instinctively, she runs upstairs, not knowing the petals are also heading upstairs... until she reached her girlfriend's room. She doesn't need to open it when it's already wide, as she runs inside... only to freeze in the middle of her room.
Apparently, the room is lightened by thousands of lights, coming from Christmas lights. They're all reflecting her clear eyes, but one thing stood out, on top of a table is the ballerina music box that was creating music around the room. The lights are dancing along with the music, which feels like she's in a fairytale world.
Seohyun is speechless and immobile.
Slowly but surely, her muscles calms down and her heart began to return to its normal heartbeats. However, she began to goose bumps, as memories of her childhood with her mother flashes back before her eyes. The music box is given by her mother when she was like four years old. It has a lot of memories she won't ever forget. She bit her lip, close her eyes and savour the moment before it lasts.
Meanwhile, Yoona who was hiding from another room, walks out and slowly but surely approached the younger, with a red rose in her hand, not leaving her eyes to the most gorgeous girl she has ever seen. Every step she takes at a time is a memory of them, which is giving her stronger determination to spend the rest of her life with her.
Her lips curved into a sweet smile as she got closer and closer... until she's just two steps away from her standing figure. It's on time the music box stopped from creating music.
A second after, Seohyun opened her eyes slowly and eventually smiled when her eyes caught Yoona's presence, smiling back to her. Then she noticed the single flower she's holding, causing for her brows to rise, then she's wearing her favorite minion shirt. However, before she could ask her, Yoona beats her when she speaks first.
"I don't know what got into my mind recently but it sure helps me realize something... " Yoona rubs the back of her neck, barely could looked at her girlfriend in the eyes.
"Huh?" Seohyun is feeling strange, but she remains immobile from her standing position.
Composing herself back, Yoona continued, "Do you remember when I first approached you? When we first have our eyes laids to each other? Actually, that was so precious for me... because if that didn't happened... I wouldn't be here standing in front of you again... after years of dating..."
Seohyun's heart started to beats faster than ever as her eyes widened, when Yoona suddenly dropped on one knee.
"Things have been so good and have been so blessed for me Joohyun ever since I've dated you. You don't know how much it's always precious for me, every moment I've spent with you... It's like a magical moment. When I don't see you, I feel incomplete... I feel like if I miss you for even a second, it would freak me out. Sometimes I wonder what black magic you have curse me to be like this. But nope, I know it's not that. It's because you have this traits that I won't ever get enough of loving you each day. Then one day, I thought to myself, I finally found someone that I can say, I was made from loving you...the best person to be by my side always... and forever.... I want to make sure that every moment of this journey of my life; I am sharing it with someone I love the most. It's not all the time that you'll get a chance to be with someone that has everything I could ask to be with me ups and down... And so... " she pause to start pick every petals from the red rose. "You can tell me something while I am doing this." she asks her.
Speechless, Seohyun is just staring down to her girlfriend, anticipating to what will happen after all those petals were off. But at the same time, she's nervous. She can feel what's going on, but her mind refuses to believe at some point.
With five flowers left, Yoona looked up again to meet Seohyun's quivering eyes on her. "Will... " she said as one petal fell. "You." followed by another. "Marry... " and another. "Me, Seo Joohyun?" she dropped the last two petals, now showing the ring on top of the stem of the rose, smiling charmingly and sincerely to her girlfriend.
"Yoona... " Seohyun's tears are now dropping, the same goes for the plastic bag of corn dogs she bought earlier. It took her some time before her mind is normal again. "Are you-"
"Sure about this? I'm 100 percent sure." Yoona never wavers. She's determined to ask her girlfriend.
"What about our studies? Our-"
"I wasn't saying we'll marry right at this moment. I'm just making sure that everything will be sure the moment we graduate. Besides, I still have to ask your parents about this... then we'll prepare everything if they agree with this, since my parents already agree-"
"Then it's a BIG Yes!" Seohyun just couldn't wait any longer and she cuts her girlfriend's words.
Yoona chuckles but she eventually reached for her right hand, sneaking the ring to her ring finger. "From this on, you are MINE and FOREVER, Seo Joohyun." she says, standing up, wipes her tears away and kissed her so deep. "I love you so much." she said as she pulled back and wraps her arms around her girlfriend, tightly. "I love you, I love you, I love youuuuu!!!" she couldn't hold back and scream it. It's just the best feeling to be marrying her girlfriend, the girl she had ever dreamed of since High School.
"I love you so much, Im Yoona." Seohyun is as the same as girlfriend, but she couldn't stop staring to the ring in her finger, couldn't hold back her emotions again as her tears fell freely from her eyes.
Pulling back from the hug, Yoona slowly but surely leaned into her girlfriend's face. As soon as there's only an inch left, she gently captured her lips, closing her eyes in the process, same goes effect with Seohyun.
Seohyun's arms are automatically wraps around her girlfriend's neck, bringing her into a more deep and passionate kiss.
End of Flashback...
"Hey."
Seohyun just didn't snapped out of reality because her wife have called her, Sky poking his finger to her cheek is more than thw reason to bring her reality. And right then, she realizes how her cheeks flushed through the rear view mirror.
"Are you okay? You looked like sick?" Yoona asks in concern while giving a glance of her wife. As her attention is more on the road.
"N-No. I mean... I just feel a little hot. Can you turn on the aircon?" As if there wasn't any aircon, Seohyun feels like it suddenly stopped from working.
"You're kidding me?" Yoona is surprised yet it causes her to chuckle.
"Just ignore me." Seohyun got embarrass and looked away from her wife right away. Sky is still looking up to her, wondering what's happening to her cheeks innocently.
Giggling quietly, Yoona can't stop herself and think, 'Did something made her blush? She's so random but cute and adorable.'

"Why are you stopping?" Seohyun suddenly got surprised and made her talked when she noticed her wife pulled the car over in front of a busy street, which is Myeondong.
"I just suddenly crave for my favorite street food. Be back in a flash." Yoona winks to her wife and did not wait for her answer, as she left the car in a flash too.
It took a couple of minutes before Seohyun figured what food will her wife buy. It got her back to her proposal and made her also reminds that her finger - her ring specifically is no longer wearing the wedding ring. But then again, she remembers, she took it off during the times of their fight.
Seohyun bit her lip and sweats are forming her forehead, feeling a bit lost, as she recalls where did she place her ring. Something tells her that she should wear the ring back. And she even felt like incomplete, now that she reminds herself about the ring. The wedding ring that symbolizes her love and commitment for Yoona.
'Otoke, where did I place it?' Unfortunately, she couldn't remember where did she place. With the tons of fights she had with Yoona, it's difficult to actually remember the wedding ring. However, she can remember the engagement ring, which she only wears during the times when they're not yet married. She took that off and places it to her memory box with Yoona, since high school to college.
"Ugh, where did I put it?!" She felt so bad, troubled and responsible as Yoona's other half. Sky who noticed her discomfort, once again poke at her cheek, looking at her like asking her if she's okay. She fake smile and kiss his cheek, as a way to reassure him.
Sky smiled and kissed her cheek and poke at it again before he giggles.
Seohyun's heart smiled as she slowly melts away with the innocent figure before her eyes. She also relaxes now her muscles, as she thought herself that she can still search for it and wears it back, before Yoona could notice it had been missing in her finger. She sighs and kissed Sky's forehead. 'I'll search for the ring, no matter what. Don't worry, Sky.'
Just then, Yoona returned with a big smile plastered in her face, as she reveals the food in her hand. "Corn Dogs, Hyunnie?" And hands one stick of it to her.
"I knew you would buy this." Seohyun chuckled softly, taking her share. But as soon as she took it from her wife, Sky had a pout, lookingat her like asking her to give a bite. He looks like a begging puppy to be feed. "I'm sorry, Sky, you can't bite yet. Maybe when you have a lot of teeth already."
"And your stomach is still so small." Yoona added before she takes a bite of her own corn dog.
Seohyun's eyes accidentally noticed her wife's ring finger, which only made her heart aches, because she's wearing their wedding ring. She just noticed it, now that she's reminded by her empty finger and the proposal Yoona made is totally the reason of all these. However, she's determined to search for it later. There's no way her wife would notice she's not wearing it.
"Hey, you're spacing out again? Sky is trying to reach for
