11. A Mess
the smile that ruined mineThe plan was simple.
I had to stay in the hospital until I was well.....obviously.
At first they said it was serious and then it wasn't?
I don't even know what's happening.
I've been taking eye drops.
My temporary blindness came from shock, so I'm guessing it's not that serious.
I hope.
He came yet again.
But this time with his girlfriend.
That was a surprise I didn't need.
I wanted to throw something at them. Anything.
Here I was such a pathetic soul, in front of my crush and my crush's girlfriend.
What is this?
Punishment for my crimes?
They bought me jelly, and I just wanted to bring them karma.
Anger stirred up within me.
I suddenly felt my breathing becoming more and more inconsistent.
I could barely listen to what he was saying: something about them dating and some accident occuring...them meeting someone in particular.
'I need to sleep now....please leave.'
With that I cover my head with the blanket and try to block my ears.
I just wanted to be left alone.
I cried.
Just a little.
Yes, a selfish and conceited person crying because she can't get what she wants.
I've made myself a mess.
NO ONE'S P.O.V
For the first time, Jieun could see beams of light appearing, she could see figures moving however nothing more than that. Her vision was blurry and after a week or so, she hated this feeling. She still couldn't do anything without assistance, she could never do things alone by herself.
She was growing miserable.
It was interesting how she hadn't heard from the that rich family yet. She had the card that the father had flung literally at her somewhere. But it wasn't like she was bothered, not because she wasn't bothered but because she didn't want to be.
The good news was that she could go home now, since there wasn't much reason for her to remain in the hospital.
'Hey darling~'
Jieun had to prevent herself from rolling her eyes at her mother's tone of affection. She heard shuffling feet and was surprised was she felt her mother's arms around her.
'Yah, please don't do that here,' she muttered. Though strangely, she made no action to push away her mother's arms.
'We are here to bring you home!'
'Huh,' Jieun scoffed.
As her parents began cleaning the room, Jieun went to the bathroom to get changed and get a breather. Why was her parents here?
AUTHOR'S NOTES:
I'm back.
Finally back - after a couple of years.
Can't promise that I'll be staying for long as there are new things in my life. But this one was written quite a while ago and was left as a draft for I'm not sure what reason.
I logged in for the sake of getting some nostalgic vibes (which I definitely got) and was shocked to see people subscribing to the story - not idea how long it was but still what a surprise~
Anyway I hope you enjoy this update (not planned at all) and honestly, do have the desire to at least finish what I started. :))))
Thank you all for reading this and hope you have a wonderful day~
