A few weeks back, there were rumors that Infinite’s L (otherwise known as Myungsoo) and ulzzang Kim Do Yeon were dating. But Woolim quickly denied this and stated that they were “just friends.” But now, it’s been confirmed that the two, in fact, did date. This is wrong on so many levels. Now do keep in mind, this is a complete rant.

1) I don’t like this news at all. First, I’m happy that Myungsoo has dated someone. Hopefully they were really happy together. (I don’t know if they’re still together, but they were talking about everything in the past tense, so I can assume that they’re not together anymore.) Anyway, this is really mean of me to say this, but I thought Myungsoo would date someone else less…fake. I don’t know if fake is too strong of a word, it probably is, but there’s no other word I can think of to describe ulzzangs. Firstly, I think ulzzangs are really pretty, but the circle lenses and makeup is overdone a lot. They’re too pretty that it’s freaking fake. Their beauty sort of scares me. Nevertheless, Myungsoo dated her and that’s that. I can’t go back in the past and change it. Besides, we never really knew of Myungsoo’s preference in girls until now.

2) I don’t think Kim Do Yeon should have stated what she said on twitter. I understand that she wanted to give subtle hints that she was dating Myungsoo, but girl, do you really think nobody will find out? Besides, you have to put up with this s.hit fans will give you. It’s expected that when you date an idol, there are consequences that come along. For example, fans that are so obsessed over their “oppas” that they will purposely injure you. 

3) Again, Kim Do Yeon should not be making us pity her by saying Inspirits have been throwing rocks at her car. Okay, in her defense, any sort of fan can get super obsessed and try to do something bad to their “oppa’s” girlfriend. But like I said previously, she should be expecting this kind of treatment. 

In conclusion, this news upsets me but at the same time I am happy for Myungsoo. He tried to protect Kim Do Yeon from all this treatment Inspirits are giving her by keeping their relationship secret. But then Kim Do Yeon posted that tweet on Twitter. Look at where that got them. Nonetheless, we found out more about Myungsoo. 

But, this also does not give us fans any right to bash Kim Do Yeon. Hate as we might, hurting others purposely backfires on us. We may be hurting Kim Do Yeon, but we are also tarnishing Infinite’s reputation. So please move on, because we can’t do anything else about it. They dated, but so what? It’s done and over with.
