Ri-umma - given by star's members, because she's very caring towards them (star's members) although she's very calm and quiet. She loves the members, but rarely showed it.

Rin - her regular nickname, called by anyone. 

TsundeMae - given by B.A.P. members who is the most people she close with in TS. TsundeMae based on 'tsundere', that in Japanese language means a cold, calm, and quiet person, but actually generous and kind-hearted. They plus 'Mae' in the back based on her own name. She likes the nickname, though.

Rapping Machine - being a rapper in exquisite and rap lover, her fans give the nickname. She can rap very very very fast in every language, she's the best female rapper in Korea. They add 'machine' because she can do it non-stop or without catching a breath.

Macy; means her name + icy; Mae Rin + icy. She called icy because of her cold and calm personality. Given by EXO who is very close to her (she's ex-trainee of SM. she's training there for 3 years.)

Cold Cheonsa; means a quiet and cold but natural gorgeous angel. Given by SHINee, she didn't liked the nicknmaes very much because she said it cheesy.

HyeRi; because she looked alike Song Hye Kyo; the top actress and Lee Hyo Ri; the y queen soloist, she called by HyeRi. Given by her fans too, but SNSD members and her other girl sunbaes in SM called her this.

Background :

She was born at Beijing, China and grew up in Seoul, South Korea. Being a cold girl, she's always been lonely since kindergarten. She always stick with Hyunwoo when he's born because she didn't have any friends. But when she's elementary she met Sehun and Sulli. Because the have the same persona, they became bestfriends so fast. But, she still very close towards Hyunwoo, her brother. But, Hyunwoo moved to the other elementary that made Mae Rin always wanted crying, but Sehun and Sulli comforted her.

 
When she's in middle school, Sehun, Sulli, and Mae Rin's school are the same, and with Hyunwoo too. Then, her parents deceased. She crying everyday but her friends always there for her. Hyunwoo and her became very strong and dilligent, they became very caring towards each other although they're like that since little. In high school, she became a valedictorian because she's genius. She's the ice princess in the school because of her cold attitude. She still friend with Sulli and Sehun, she didn't have any friends after that.
 
She was walked with Hyunwoo to go home while she saw a television in a electronic shop. There's a female rapper, that awed her. The rapper is so talented, her jaw even dropped while saw it. The rapper was rap while dance easily. Then, Maerin changed her decision to be a rapper. Although she never wanted to be a membe rin a girl group, but because Hyunwoo pleaded her, she gave a try and became a trainee in TS.

Nature lover and prefers suburbs away from crowds. Needs a private space for refuge.

May be accused of being a pessimist. Craves success. Speaking broadly, she is calm, composed, very levelheaded and serious. She have a firm character, and are reliable and trustworthy (and hardheaded).

Park Chanyeol | rapper in EXO-K | when she's training in SM (she's ex trainee of SM), she met him when he also wanted to practice his rap in Rap Practice Room. They're close from that time. Chanyeol is the first friend that she met in SM.

 
Choi Minho | rapper in SHINee | when she's training in SM, she needed a pair because there was a rap test soon. Then, Minho offered himself to Maerin, and they became close. Many trainees envies the two of them though.
 
Lee Taemin | dancer in SHINee | when she's drink a bubble tea near SM Building, she dumped to Taemin. She bid sorry to him, and then when they knew that the two of them are SM Trainees, they became close.
