[Personal] One does not simply receive feedback when publishing fanfiction!
Am I the only person here who seems to have the hardest time getting feedback for my stories? Sometimes you get people who subscribe and run and then you get people who just look and never leave any sort of comment, no upvotes, nothing. I honestly wonder how anyone on this site manages to get some sort of decent feedback, or even a reader following, when no one around here seems to want to put in the extra few seconds to let the writer know how they felt about the writing. Am I doing something wrong? How does one get people to leave feedback, or to even read their fiction in the first place?
I've opened up a review shop, and it only costs 2 karma or a three sentence comment on a story of mine to sign up. I feel like neither of those is too much to ask because it will allow me to advertise my own work while also boosting the requesters' as I leave reviews on their work. So far I have no one signed up.
I've never been good at getting a decent following of readers. I have to know what people are doing to get that audience around here.
