Description

Two almost high school sweethearts. Best friends since the first day of high school.

When they get separated, will fate bring them back together?

(Make sure you read the foreward otherwise some of the story might not make sense!)

Foreword

I walked into the classroom that the principal had escorted me to. I'm Gu Jinae and it's my first day of school here at Incheon High School. I'm a freshman, and insanely nervous, if you didn't know that already. I watched as the rest of the kids took their seats, some of them staring at me as I stood at the front of the room. Just then, the teacher walked in. "Oh, hello! Boys and girls, we have a new student. Will you please introduce yourself?" She asked me. I nodded and bowed to the class.

" Hello, I'm Gu Jinae. It's nice to meet you," I said quietly. "Nice to meet you, Jinae. Please take a seat by Wu Yi Fan. Yi Fan, can you raise your hand?" She asked. As I looked around the room, I saw a boy with short brown hair. He looked fairly tall, and he kind of scared me a little. I quietly took the seat next to him. He looked at me and smiled. "It's nice to meet you, I'm Wu Yi Fan, but you can call me Kris,"  I was slightly surprised by his smile. He looked really cold, but as soon as I sat next to him, he smiled at me. "It's nice to meet you too. I'm Jinae," I said shyly with a smile. Just then, the teacher started speaking, so I turned to pay attention.

This won't be too bad.

"Oh my god, Yi Fan you dyed your hair!" I said surprised. I tried to reach up in order to touch it, standing on my tip toes. This boy grew so damn tall over the summer.

"Yeah, I did. You like it?" He asked me. I nodded my head and smiled. He looked so good. I never thought blond would suit him but he almost looks like a model. It's amazing what a new hair color will do for you. Grabbing my back pack, we started the short walk to school. "So, are you ready for the second half of sophomore year?" Kris asked, stuffing his hands inside the pockets of his jacket. It was early January, and the holidays have just ended. End of the holidays means the start of school, and no one was ready for the second half of the year. "No, not really. How are you so positive?" I asked him.

"I just have a good feeling about this year."

Standing at the gate, I could feel tears in my eyes. "Kris.. I'm going to miss you," I said, tackling him in a hug. Kris and his family were off to Beijing, his parents eager to go back to their home country. "I'm going to miss you too, Jinae," He said quietly as he held me a bit tighter. "Jinae, detatch yourself from Kris for a second so I can take a picture of you two," My mom had said. Letting go and putting my arm around him, I smiled, even though I was insanely said that he was leaving.

When I heard the announcement for his flight, I hugged him one last time. "I'm really going to miss you.. don't get into too much trouble, okay? And make sure you text/skype me sometimes, alright?" I told him, fixing his jacket for him. I had messed it up when I jumped on him. "I'll be okay. I'll miss you too, Jinae. Make sure you do good the rest of Junior year." He said as he walked down the hallway, ready to get on his plane.

I cried the entire ride home.

My best friend just moved to another country.
