hwang seungmi was a passionate and determined dancer. to her, dance was like an escape route she could enter at any given time and revisit over and over again whenever she felt like it. there was only one thing that stood in her way and changed how her life wasn't supposed to be; her real self was hidden underneath a blanket of lies. hidden underneath a presumptous and egotistical tomboy. hidden underneath someone who she never was.
moving from busan to seoul was all it took for seungmi to do a double take - was her life actually changing for the better or for the worse after meeting a rowdy and developing group of young teenage boys? figuring her true self out was tough enough, but who knew strangers, especially blockheaded teenagers, could help out a lost soul? it's all too much for poor seungmi.

author's notes : to new heights was created entirely on the spot while my friend and i decided to write stories for each other since we had nothing else to do. we thought 'hey, instead of reading fanfics written by other people, why don't we try and write some ourselves?'. i wanted to try to write something about the topic of the kpop industry as well as the transition from the countryside to the city in hopes that it would entertain bored people that were once me and friend. ( i still get bored a lot, but after writing, i feel as if i found something to keep me occupied hours on end, hahaha ) anyway, i hope you enjoy the story and follow seungmi's weird and slightly awkward adventures!
