Just A Friend
Description
When being stuck in the friend zone state, it hurts more than anything in the world.
Also, loving someone so much wholeheartedly as a secret, the pain seems to grow more each and everyday.
Peniel Shin or rather known as Shin Dong Geun, has been in love with his friend Lee Boyun for quite some time. When she's feeling down or sad, Peniel has tried his best to be there for her, since he wants to be the best friend to love and care for her.
However, Boyun seems to keep everything to herself. Being scarred from her past, Boyun tries not to love again, since she's afraid that the next person she loves might just hurt her.
Though she goes out smiling and laughing like normal, Peniel knows deeply inside how hurt Boyun is. Knowing that she has a stalking ex-boyfriend and all, Peniel wants to be the shield that protects her from harm.
In the end, will Boyun let him be that shield, or will she just remain on distancing herself from everybody else?

Foreword
"Boyun-ah, I already told you. If you ever have any problems, just come talk to me. I'm here for ears to listen," Peniel softly spoke to her, as the group of friends were drinking and hanging out again.
Chuckling, Boyun shook her head.
"Peniel, why don't you just worry about yourself? I'm fine," she replied in a tipsy tone, as the beer was getting to her.
Sighing in sorrow, Peniel wishes that Boyun can just open up to him. He knows that she really wants someone to just hug her, so she can release all the stress inside.
"Boyun-ssi, I am your friend for a reason," Peniel said, and Boyun nodded her head.
"I know, you're just a friend. A friend who will be by my side," she exhaled out a reply, and Peniel shook his head.
That wasn't what he meant, but if Boyun wanted to make it that way, Peniel might as well let her think wrongly...for now.
