In the middle of the night, in a place that's unknown

Lingers two shadows, trapped there alone

Sitting at a corner, waiting for a call

Begging to be rescued, or death to them will crawl

The need to fight for freedom, the two had to decide

To sacrifice oneself for the other to survive;

To battle for existence or both will have to suffer;

To face the light together or just let death draw nearer

With no one to come for rescue, the souls have ignited

The hopes to escape hell, in their minds have collided

But the consequence is this- only one should be saved

The latter must remain, and face his tragic fate

Once bound as one, now broken and selfless

Hungry for assurance, the souls are almost hopeless

The shadows, ready for the chaos, preparing to attack

The binding chains are shattered, minds are being hacked

The shadows in the battlefield, struggling for their lives

Reliance was destroyed for the desire to survive

Before the dawn, one soul should be free from the lair

Or else the shadows will both be in despair

In the midst of the battle, the mind spoke of reality

The shadows’ hearts have finally found a certainty

It’s not themselves whom they should treat as enemy

But the reason for this, the reason behind this misery

But clearly it’s too late, the dawn has already passed

Demise is on its way, things are about to last

The souls have failed to escape, consequence shall be casted

If only in the beginning, they chose to be united…
