Foreword

Where, oh where, is Jung Yunho?
Prologue

The brunette adored the way his golden locks shined under the sun. He silently swooned at the way the perspire drizzled down his beautiful face, making him shine. Currently, Yunho was sitting under the shade of a tree, eating his lunch by himself while Jaejoong was out on the field with his two closest friends, Junsu and Yoochun.

Everyday, he would watch Jaejoong play soccer with his friends. Everyday, he would serenade himself with the pleasant sound of Jaejoong's laughter. Everyday, he would tell himself that it was perfectly fine, admiring him from a safe distance. Everyday, he'd ignore this feeling of loneliness and unsuppressed yearning. He'd convince himself that this was enough.

But it wasn't.

Yunho knew it was very foolish of him to just admit how in-love he was with Kim Jaejoong especially with the fact that they barely spoke to each other. The only relationship they had with one another was that of being old friends, childhood friends to be exact. They were close friends separated by the decision of Yunho's father to move to Japan. Yunho lived in Japan for about six years of his life. During those years, he experienced a great amount of change. Firstly, he had to learn how to be fluent in the Japanese language in order to communicate with his new peers. Also, he had to experience the painful passing of his father. Those years were not as pleasant to him especially due to the fact that he endured them alone. His mother was a busy worker, now with only the two of them. Also, Yunho refused to have a new "best friend". He always thought that Jaejoong was enough and that they'd reunite again someday in Korea.

It wasn't Jaejoong's fault for not noticing him upon his arrival to the same high school. The problem was the lack of classes they had with one another and by the constant crowd surrounding Jaejoong like annoying flies.

Or maybe, it was because Jaejoong didn't recognize him...

Well whatever... This unrequited love of Jung Yunho's was slowly killing him. It felt as if his love for the other man grew stronger and stronger by every passing day. Yunho turned down every love confession for himself just for the sake of this sad love. He never regretted it once.

In Yunho's school bag was an old book given to him by one of his friends. A book that contains material like sorcery.

Yunho already didn't have his love (yes, Yunho was more on the dramatic side), what's the worst thing that can happen? For all he knew, the spells could backfire or worse, not work at all. The brown-haired man concluded just that.

-

Yunho sat in his bedroom and stared at the book Heechul gave him. According to the man, all he had to do was find his purpose in the table of contents and he's good to go.

Of course, something told Yunho that what he was doing was totally ridiculous. For one, Heechul was bonkers and two, Yunho was actually listening to the said bonkers boy.

Once Yunho found the love charm page, he did all the things necessary. It asked of him to light three pillar candles, a chalk-drawn triangle to connect the three candles, and oil of rosemary drizzled within the boundaries of the triangle.

The next step indicated him to state the words written on the old book.

Yunho wanted to laugh at the lengths he would go just for Jaejoong to notice him.

I'm pathetic.

After Yunho chanted the words written in bold in the book, he didn't feel anything particularly "different" after casting the "spell". With that, he considered it as a failure.

He sighed in defeat and plunged face-first onto his soft bed.

Unbeknownst to the handsome brunette, however, was the fact that the last and most important page regarding the charm was torn out, missing....

-

The discordant ringing of Yunho's alarm clock woke him up. It was 7:00am signaling another start to a horrible, unnoticed-by-Jaejoong-the-love-of-my-life day. Groggily, Yunho slipped into his bathroom that was connected to his bedroom and proceeded to doing his morning rituals. He took a shower, willing for the burning hot water to distract him from all other thoughts. Yunho hated how unwanted issues would always penetrate his mind whenever he was idle. He remembered about some things that transpired the other day. Recently, rumors started circulating about Jaejoong having interest in the quarterback, Shim Changmin. Well, why wouldn't he? Shim Changmin is quite admirable unlike me.

Yunho sighed as he turned off the shower taps and pulled the shower curtains to the side. Now with the last ounce of sleep washed away, Yunho was finally awake. He scrunched his eyebrows together in confusion when he noticed how everything looked... higher than it did before. Yunho was quite a tall teen standing at a proud height of 6 feet... but why does it feel like he shrunk?

The young man did nothing but shrug his shoulders as he dismissed the weird thought. He wrapped the white towel hanging on the metal rack around his waist then walked up to his sink. He brushed his teeth lazily before wiping the foggy mirror because he was about to style his hair.

...
.....
........

"WHAT THE HELL?!" The brunette screamed upon staring at his reflection in the mirror. The person looking back in the mirror was...... a young little boy. With wide and horrified eyes, Yunho touched his face to make sure this was all real.

"This can't be...." He muttered while squeezing his now chubbier cheeks.

"Yunho~ you alright in there?" His ears picked up the faint voice of his mother coming from outside his room.

". She can't see me like this." The male whispered harshly. Quietly, making sure he doesn't make a sound, he opened his bathroom door to return to his main room. He hastily changed into the smallest clothes he could find (cargo shorts and a red checkered polo) then packed all of his necessities in a black backpack before climbing out of his bedroom window. "See you later, Eomma." He whispered before leaving.

-

The taxi driver kept on sending the little boy curious glances via the rear-view mirror. It was either due to: 1) the fact that he's a kid and he may not be able to pay off the taxi fare or 2) the fact that he's a kid and he's wandering all by himself.

"Hey kid, we're here." The low gruff voice called.

Yunho tried to hold back his laughter due to the old man's antics. This guy thinks I'm going to hop off this cab and not pay, huh?

In an assured manner, Yunho proudly placed his wad of money in the awaiting palms of the taxi driver's outstretched arms.

"Thanks for the lift, mister!"

Since the book of sorcery was given to him by his (bonkers) friend, Heechul, Yunho decided that the best way to solve this dilema would be to pay his friend a visit.

He loudly banged his small fist on Heechul's front door, waiting for the man to answer.

The door swung open suddenly revealing an extremely agitated Heechul "What, what, what, what, what?" He screeched. His eyes traveled down then glared at the cute kid on his doorstep. "Yah, kid! Do you have any idea what time it is? I still had 10 more minutes left before my alarm clock would ring! Aish." Deprive Heechul of everything, just never his sleep!

"Heechul-ah. It's me, Yunho."

"What is this nonsense? I think all of your sugar-intake muddled your brain. Go back home to your mommy and daddy, kid."

Yunho grumbled angrily before pushing past the other man's slim figure and making himself at home.

"Just what do you think you're doing? OUT!" Heechul complained.

"Chul, your spell book turned me into a kid."

Once Yunho mentioned that, Heechul immediately stopped his actions to kick him out. His eyebrows melded together in deep thought before speaking "Yunho?"

The brunette perched on the couch rolled his eyes then nodded.

"Ohmygodohmygod!" Heechul ran up to Yunho and stooped down to give him a tight hug. "Oh dear god. What did you do????"

The latter reached into his backpack and pulled out the spell book then flipped to the page that he did his incantation from. "Everything this damn book told me to, that's what I did!"

Heechul stared at the page for a moment before he realized what the problem was. "The last page was torn out..." He traced his thin fingers on the old pages. "The was the most essential page... Oh god, Yunho." He hugged his friend's young form again, panicking. That was until a thought popped up on his head. "But of course!"

Yunho looked weirdly at his friend as Heechul sat up abruptly then ran off to his "lair". He returned holding another old book that looked like it would fall apart if were to be simply dropped.

"The remedy to all curses, according to this book, is..." Heechul looked solemn all of a sudden "to sacrifice a under a full moon."

"WHAT?"

"But..." Heechul turned a few more pages gently "There's another way!"

"Well... So what is it?"

"True love's kiss."

Yes, compared to "sacrificing a under a full moon", "a true love's kiss" was like a breath of fresh air after living in a heavily polluted city. This didn't mean it was easy, though. This alternative required love. And considering that Yunho was "technically" a kid, he can't let Jaejoong fall in love with him since Jaejoong was "technically" 10 years older than him.

Yunho gulped.

What in the whole damn world should he do?

Sacrificing a was totally out of the question.
