YOOJUNG: We get back from filming the WJMK in the early morning, expecting that the others would be getting ready to go to dance practice. When we walk into the apartment, Lucy’s the first one to see us. "Unnies!" she shouts as she runs up and takes our luggage and carries it back to their room. Then we see Suyeon, whereupon Doyeon and I start singling "Bingle Bangle" — it couldn’t have gone better if we’d planned it! Suyeon blushes — she blushes so pretty! — and buries her face in her hands. "You guys watched that?" Doyeon walks up and throws her arm around Suyeon's shoulders. "You think we'd miss it? The only thing that would've been better is if we could've been there with you!" Just then I see Sei coming out of her bedroom, and I greet her with a shout of "Bang bang bang!" Sei bows to me and then mimes drinking a shot, before saying "We missed you guys so much! How was the video shoot?" "It went great!" Doyeon says before I have a chance to answer. "I think you're really going to like it." "When does it come out?" Elly asks. "They wouldn't tell us for sure," Yoojung say, "but probably around 3 weeks." By this time Lucy’s back from dropping off our luggage. "Three weeks? I have to wait 3 weeks to see my unnies in their new video? Waaah." She puts her fists to her eyes and mimes crying — Lucy’s so cute when she breaks out the aegyo! "All night, enough silliness," Lua says, coming up behind Lucy and catching her in a back hug. "We've got to roll for today's ships and then get to dance lessons. You know we'll get in trouble if we're late!" "Whoa!" Doyeon looks around in astonishment, while still keeping her arm around Suyeon I notice. "Lucy being helping and respectful to her unnies, Lua being responsible — we should go away and come back more often!" "Oh no you don't," Suyeon says, reaching over and hugging Doyeon, "next it's my turn to go away and come back!" "Oh no you don't!" Sei says as she runs over wraps her arms around Suyeon. "If you get to go away, I get to go with you!" Suyeon leans over and kisses Sei on the nose — so freakin’ cute! "How could I possibly say no to that?" "You'd better not even try," Sei says, seizing Suyeon tighter. "Whoa! Somebody's getting possessive!" Doyeon says. "No," Sei says, pouting, "someone's just feeling neglected because she never gets to spend time alone with her girlfriend." She looks up at Suyeon. "I want to take you out for pizza tonight, just the two of us." Suyeon puts her finger to her temple and pretends to think about this, before saying "Of course! We'll go after dance class." "Speaking of which," Rina say, loudly enough to cut across everyone's conversations — which I didn’t think she was capable of — "I've rolled up today's ships. It's going to be me and Doyeon, Suyeon and Lua, Elly and Lucy, and Yoojung and Sei . Now we'd better get going if we're not going to be late for dance class." ELLY: “Ouch! Rina, that was my foot!” She keeps trying to watch Elly and getting caught out of place, which this time was on top of my foot, but mostly the class goes well. After dance class is over, the group splits up — the maknaes have more classes to go to, while the unnies get the afternoon off. Well, off in the sense that Doyeon and Yoojung had to do a Vlive, and we all have to spend a couple of hours answering fanmail. But mostly off. As we’re getting packed up to leave the practice room, I overhear Suyeon and Sei talking. "Do I need to get dressed up fancy?" Suyeon asks, "or will regular clothes do?" "Regular clothes will do. I was just planning on Pizza Mario. Of course," Sei says, before batting her eyes and turning on the aegyo, "if you really want to make me happy you'll wear your black jeans — I love the way you look in those." "Your wish is my command," Suyeon says, bowing to Sei. "Don't say that unless you really mean it," Sei responds. Fortunately, by this time everyone’s gathered up their stuff, so I’m spared any more bad rom-com dialogue between our leader and her senior girltoy. When we get back to the apartment, Doyeon and Yoojung get started on their Vlive, while Suyeon and I got started on the fanmail. Most of the letters are routine — expressions of adoration, requests for autographs or photos, that sort of thing. Once in a while though, we come across a letter that needs actual thought and a personal answer — fans who apparently can't think of anywhere to turn with their problems other than us. Yoojung made a list of hotlines that we sent to any fan who seems like they needed that, plus we’ve gathered a stock of answers we’ve settled on for some of the more common questions. But from time to time we still get a letter that we have a hart time figuring out what to do with. Apparently Suyeon's first letter is one of those. "Oh, jeez," she says, "listen to this: Dear Weki Meki, My name is Ji-Min and I'm in grade 8. All the other girls in my grade want boyfriends, but I want a girlfriend. The other girls don't really tease me much about it, which is nice, but I'm still lonely because I'm the only girl here like me, so there's no one to be my girlfriend. With as many idols as there are, surely there are some of them who are gay. It'd be nice if they could say so in public. You probably aren't allowed to answer this, but are any of the members of Weki Meki gay? I like to imagine that Lucy is and that I'm her secret girlfriend.
