Project Verity

Rule number one - never take jobs that are too good to be true. When it pays too much, doubt it. If it's too easy, say no.

We've worked in the field long enough to know when to accept and when to decline. But here's the clincher, sometimes you're never really sure if the call you made was the right one.

And, in this line of work, a single mistake can have catastrophic effects.

There was nothing to suggest suspicion about the last job that we received. Considering the risks we have to take to steal one item, you could say the payout was reasonably high. High enough that we could spend the rest of our lives living off of it. No more work, no more stealing.

We didn't know what we were in for until we could no longer find a way out.

If you are listening to this, then we're probably gone. But you have to know.
