Chapter 1
We TogetherYujin arrives home from school with both her mothers sitting side by side at the dining table, and they seem to be discussing something.
"I'm home," she announces as she zooms past their backs to get to her room.
"Oh hi, Yujinie~" one of her mothers, Eunbi, responds to her as if she's still a 5 year old. She's 15 now but as her mother always said, Yujinie will always be her baby.
Her other mother though, Chaeyeon, always the more stricter one asks, "You in a hurry, Yujinie?"
"Oh!.. uhm..." she suddenly stops into a halt right in front of her room, turns around real slow as if she's caught, and sees Chaeyeon looking at her with both her eyebrows raised, expecting an answer.
With a little bit of stutter, "M- mom, I- I've got some-"
"Training?" Chaeyeon finishes the sentence for her.
"Y- yes.. I do." Yujin wasn't lying though. She puts the most not-awkward awkward smile and looks to Eunbi's eyes as if asking for some assurance or help.
But Chaeyeon found her expression funny and told her, "Okay, go on your way then."
Yujin turns back to get into her room and releases the breath she didn't know she was holding.
"You have to be back before dinner though." Chaeyeon instructs or threatens, either way when it comes to her mom, it's almost the same.
With the door left open, she slightly overhears the television from the living room. After stuffing a change of clothes to the backpack she brings for training, she comes to the living room drawn by the advertisement of the newest season of the Produce 101 series that would air sometime next year.
Sitting on the couch with her favorite stuffed bunny, Wonyoung, her 4 year old little sister greets her, "Hi, Unnie~!"
Yujin stood right next to the couch with her eyes fixed on the TV screen, she gives a small wave of her left hand to Wonyoung's direction and greets her, "Hi, Wonyo."
Upon hearing and seeing that soulless response, little Wonyoung pouts, stands up on the couch and walks to give her big sis a hug. At just the right moment Wonyoung stops hugging her, a montage of previous PD101 seasons' trainees and debuted groups were shown.
"Look! Unnie! Isn't that Mom?!" Pointing at the screen, Wonyoung excitedly asks her.
Yujin only nods her head and turns to her sister, "It was.. But she's one of the mentors now. Uhm.. Wonyo, why are you even watching Musicnet?" Even with all the cartoons, why is she on this channel?
As if getting slightly irked at that question, Wonyoung goes back to sitting on the couch and crosses her leg, "Well unlike you, Unnie, I can't watch Youtube. Seriously! for a preschooler, Wonyoung's sass is that of a teenager's! "But Mama says I can watch the replay of NIZ*ONE's performance on the TV today," smiling especially wide at that last part.
"Oooh. Okay, Wonyo. Enjoy it then," Yujin teases her sister and pats her head. And Wonyoung glares at her. Still, she gives her big sis a high five when Yujin bids farewell, "I gotta go. See ya later."
NIZ*ONE was Chaeyeon's former group as an idol and they reunited for a surprise performance last week at a year-end award show. This was Musicnet's official public announcement of the coming PD101 season, with some of NIZ*ONE's former members as mentors now.
Against Chaeyeon's wishes and many lectures ago over trainee and idol life, Yujin actually is an idol trainee. And if not all, a lot of the entertainment agencies were actually given an invitation about the coming PD101 season prior to the broadcasted announcement.
Now how does her mom, Chaeyeon, remain oblivious about this secret life you might wonder? Well as it turns out when you're a good daugh
