“Dude, why is Prof Lebedev being such a hardass today?” Yuqi groans as she steps through the bus, dodging between the backpacks and feet poking out into the corridor.

Soyeon just chuckles as the younger girl dramatically flops down onto the seat in front of her,

 

 “We have to be perfect for the dance recital, our school’s program has one of the best reputations in the region remember,”

“I know, but brooo, I’m going to pass out one of these days,” Yuqi sighs and Soyeon notices how drained the Chinese girl looks.

 

“Hey, gimme that,” Yuqi gestures towards the water bottle in the shorter girls hands.

Soyeon chuckles as she hands the mint green bottle over the back of the grey seat she was leaning on.

“Thanks,” Yuqi sighs as she drinks generously.

 

‘It’s quarantine, what the f**k?’ Soojin thinks with wide eyes as she turns back towards the two.

Soyeon gives her a ‘What?’ look with her mask pulled below her chin, and Soojin just sighs as she leans back in her seat.

 

“Idiots will die of their own violation,” She muttered.

“What?” Shuhua looks at her curiously due to the unknown words.

“Nothing, go back to sleep,” Soojin spoke quietly as she lightly patted the other girl’s head.

 

Yuqi carelessly wiped water from her bottom lip with a loud sigh.

She stared aimlessly in front of her for about half a second before she suddenly turned towards Soyeon, “Kiss me,”

The Chinese girl leaned over the top of the seat, pouting her lips out.

 

Soyeon calmly raised an eyebrow,

She had had some strange feelings around the younger girl recently...

 

After contemplating for a second or so, wordlessly she leaned forward and met Yuqi’s puckered lips.

*mwah*

 

Both girls pulled away after a few moments, and Yuqi chuckled cryptically as Soyeon had her eyebrows furrowed.

“Are you two together?!” Miyeon says loudly in surprise.

“No..we’re just friends that kiss,” Yuqi chuckles as she smirks at Soyeon.

 

“Yeah...friends that kiss…” Soyeon repeated as Yuqi sat down happily.

Minnie raised an eyebrow as Yuqi was grinning as she lifted her mask back over her face.

 

“What? I’m normalizing things,” Yuqi said cockily to the girl in the seat across from her.

“If you say so,” Minnie murmurs unsurely with a sigh as she looks back down at her phone.

 

‘Did they just-’ Soojin’s eyes shot open as her brain registered what happened behind her.

She turned back as their oldest friend questioned the status of the two’s relationship.

 

“I can’t even comprehend this sh*t, I know we all share a dorm and food, but still,” Soojin sighed quietly as she turned back in front of her.

“Jinjin?”

“Uh-” Soojin was met with the youngest’s pout as she turned back in front of her.

 

“Please?” Shuhua pushed her lower lip out a little further to accentuate her pout.

“Shuhua, put your mask up,” Soojin complains as the youngest’s eyes seem to sparkle more with every passing second.

“But- Mm!”

 

“Keep your mask up, I don’t want you to get sick,” Soojin says sternly as she quickly lifts the girl’s mask over her face.

“J-ji-jin, y-you, it- Kiss-..” For one of the few times in her life, the Taiwanese girl had no words.

 

“Sleep Shushu,” Soojin murmured embarrassedly as she turned away and leaned on the younger girl’s shoulder.

‘Soft,’ Soojin thought with warm cheeks as she looked down at the younger girl’s limp hand beside her own.

 

Shuhua’s eyes widened as she looked down at the older girl fiddling with their hands.

A warm smile took over her face as her eyes pushed up into crescents. 

‘Cute Jinjin~’ She thought affectionately as she noticed the light blush on Soojin’s cheeks.

 

They all stepped off the bus at the school gate, with Soojin and Shuhua being the first pair off, and unknowingly leaving the others behind.

Soyeon was in a haze as she stepped off after all the other students.

 

“Soyeon unnie, you good?” Yuqi asked worriedly, but with a small chuckle in an attempt to lighten the other’s mood.

“H-huh? Oh, yeah,” Soyeon chuckled as she pulled her backpack strap up on her shoulder, “Just thought of something, sorry,”

 

“Okay then,” Yuqi chuckled more relieved like before her attention was taken away by Minnie asking her something while pointing at her screen of the phone in her hands.

‘It can’t be...right?’ Soyeon thought as she looked intently at the Chinese girl’s back.

I did section these off before hand to make sure they flowed well in a twitter thread because that's the type of person I am.

I made the mistake of telling my friends I was writing a fanfic in our irl friends discord server, but now they're asking and don't know I like kpop...

They're being nice, slava bogu...

Bro, I had to so much work to upload this, Asianfanfic didn't want to let my story through on it's own so I had to write a bs gibberish to submit before this.
