i'll be your home | l. mark"No, all of your answers are wrong again." Soojung commented for the nth time this night after scanning Mark's work and answers for the examples she provided for him. She could hear him sigh for the billionth time tonight. Her eyebrow raised as the male snatched back the sheets of example problems before silently fixating his eyes onto them once again.
Odd.
She watched him knit his eyebrows together as he focused on working through each of the problems another time. Normally, the male would be asking her for help. At the very least, he would be whining about how it was difficult and would give her puppy eyes to avoid his homework and studying. Rather than that, he was actually quite serious while trying to solve the examples. Mark was typically always a sweet and optimistic person; he would never put up a cold attitude with her.
After watching him stare at the same problem, repeatedly writing and erasing his pencil marks, she just knew he was stumped. "Do you want me to walk you through another example?"
"No. I can do this myself."
"But you seem stuck, I can just-"
"I'll finish this on my own." His voice was laced with such a negative attitude that it immediately made the girl's blood boil. Out of all people, he should be the one that knows giving her an attitude would only make her reciprocate the same behavior. Soojung might be cold at first to people and hot headed, but she actually has a rather calmer and cooperative side. With Mark, she has always been patient and understanding. However, such an attitude was a complete turn off and the girl never tolerates that negativity.
Breathing in through her nostrils, she tiredly glanced at the time on the lockscreen of her phone. 2:44 AM. She was staying up for him, trying her best to help him, yet he chooses to speak with her this way? Sure, he might've never been this way before, but that doesn't mean she'd let him off the hook. At first, she thought he was just trying to solve things individually before asking for help, but now he's just being absolutely rude.
Sure, Soojung could simply it up and pretend this night was nothing that bothered her, but no, she refuses to allow that to happen when she put in her effort and time to help him at the latest hours in the night. She was beyond angry with him at this point; she was tired and had no time to be dealing with someone with that kind of attitude.
And so, the girl pushed her chair away from the table, standing up and causing him to raise his head. "I don't know what's wrong wi
