"Check his vital." Yul heard as he tried to open his eyes.

His eyes felt heavy. He felt sore all over. He could smell the familiar hospital scent. 

"He's good." Yul heard again. 

His mouth felt dry. Drier than Sahara that his throat hurt so much. Yul tried to open his eyes again. He succeeded and was welcomed with his mother crying. He looked at his mother and father. Along with his brother, Yoong.

"You woke up. Finally. Thank god." Mrs. Kwon said.

"A month." Yoong said as he gave his older brother a glass of water.

"I don't remember anything. And and... it aches a lot." Yul said as he sipped the water.

"We'll talk about that later. You are the last one to wake up. The others were conscious last week."

"That's good to hear." Yul smiled.

"So, what do you want for lunch?" Mr. Kwon asked.

"I really feel like eating oxtail soup." 

"Yoong." Mrs. Kwon gave her cue and Yoong nodded.

"I'll go get that at our usual place." Yoong said and excused himself.

It was a month of Yul having a coma after an accident in Dongan Cave. All 25 students along with 4 lecturers were lost in that cave before they were rescued after being trapped for 3 days.

"So, everyone is safe?" Yul asked after a while.

He looked at his parents as they looked at each other.

"Oh, yeah about that. 2 students...2 students didn't make it." Mr. Kwon said.

"Who?" Yul asked right away.

"Let me check my WhatsApp group."

"Oh it's on the news." Mrs. Kwon said as she turned up the TV's volume which was muted earlier.
