Winner is a band that debuted under YG in 2014 after winning a survival show. They released a colorful album full of self composed ballads and rock songs, providing a change to the kpop realm.

iKON is a band that was formed one year later after losing the survival show against Winner. Rather than ballads, they have a more upbeat style, suitable for partying. Despite being the losers, they rose to popularity, even more so than Winner. Their music was such a hit that YG began to shift his focus towards them.

iKON began to get more comebacks and attention, but Winner was shoved into a corner, hundreds of their self composed songs getting rejected. Mino especially feels the burden, feeling jealous upon seeing his former rival Bobby rise to the top.
