They didn't know each other very well, but over the course of a couple of years, they grew to be the closest of friends.

As their lives got busier and more complicated, they gradually parted ways. They gained new friends, their old relationship disappeared.

Sure, they saw each other from time to time and chatted politely, but the feelings they used to have were gone.

At least, until one chance meeting on a train changed everything.

"Hyoyeon?"

"Jinki?!"

I was influenced by the FlowerBoysGeneration episode with Key and Onew guest MC-ing and Hyoyeon, Sunny, and Jessica as guests. Hyo and Onew talked about their pre-debut days and how they would sometimes ride the train home together, which I thought was cute. teehee. 

I may or may not have also been inspired by the anime movie, 5 Centimeters Per Second (Byousoku 5 Cm). I watched the movie after I had started writing this fic, but the similarities in my idea and the movie astonished me. As I have continued to write, 5 Cm continues to influence my decision regarding the mood, imagery, and perhaps plot of the fic.

EDIT: ON HIATUS. As soon as I get the time, edits will be made. The foreword will receive a drastic change, and I'm working on a poster, guys!
