Minji's mother is the leader of her coven, the one in charge of keeping everyone in line and ensuring that everyone is practicing safe magic. She is also a tough mother and Minji wants nothing to do with her, leaving the magical community behind to focus on mundane things like a career and social life. Yet when members of the coven start to wind up missing, Minji is called back to town to help determine why and is drawn into battle against an elusive foe.
