I just finished reading the manga Shingeki no Kyojin as far as its been uploaded online, and it's so freakin' good! It's shounen, and not too romance-y so I dunno what anyone's preferences are, but it's still amazing!

Basically, it's about a dystopian society where most of humanity has been wiped out by giants (Titans) who seem to enjoy eating people for fun and not for food, but humans are trying to fight back (mostly they just wanna survive though). Eren, the dude yelling (lol), and his adopted sister Mikasa (bottom left) witness their mother get eaten alive by a Titan, and Eren vows to wipe out the titans once and for all.

There's a lot of violence, blood, and character death, which I usually don't like; also, it's super tragic, and I hate plot lines where there is no sense of "hope" (which is why I never watch zombie movies or thriller/horror movies because I literally get nightmares and anxiety attacks from the fact that throughout there is no way out no matter how hard you try to survive), but Attack on Titan is different because despite all of the people who die, Eren is like a beacon of hope for humanity, and as of right now, he's still alive. If you read the manga or watch the anime, you'll find out why.

I haven't started the anime, but I will probably some time next week. There's 26 episodes that make it to about chapter 40 in the manga (currently 52 chapters), so the manga does exceed the anime. It's only subbed in english right now, but there should be an english dub coming out some time in 2014. 

Still, I totally recommend it if you like action or shounen. Plus, the female charcters kick !^^
