How I Became an EXOtic

It all started with a fanfic. That's right, a fanfic.

When I first read the fic, I didn't know a single EXO member or how they even looked like, etc. I heard about them from allkpop and sometimes ExoGeneration moments, but never really took notice of them.

Maid in Love has Kris as the main character. So I was like reading and drowning and swooning in the overdose of sweetness and also the story had this poster of handsome Kris with his princely aura lol. So tbh, the first person in EXO I really could recognize and felt was handsome was Kris.

Then as I read the fic, I found Tao cute. The author described Tao as a person who liked to act cute and boy did she do a good job at it. So second person; I went to google for Tao's pics. Though he was more of nothing I expected, but he quickly became the second person I could recognize and actually liked.

As for the others; I remember thinking Luhan was a flirt, Lay was a cute blue sotong, Chen was a songbird, and Xiumin... Omg Xiumin haha. I couldn't stop laughing when I googled his pic. His nickname is so apt(?)!!! Lol. He seriously looks like a baozi. /laugh til cry/

For EXO-K, I think I was attracted to Suho's, Chanyeol's and Sehun's characters as I was reading the fic. Suho sounded so gentle and sweet. Chanyeol sounded like the best guy friend a girl could ever get. Sehun sounded like a spoilt maknae who often bickered with Tao on who was cuter lol.

I didn't really take notice of Jongin, Baekhyun, or Kyungsoo though.

For that period of time after I finished reading Maid in Love, I was in this comatose state when I'll sit all day and spazz about the storyline and space out. There were so many cute moments when I really melted!!!

Eg.

^^ this. So cute right!!! Sent this to Siewpig and she said ITS ALL FAKE. Which crushed me haha. Though I know what she's saying is the truth but still!!! The fic was awesome.

Afterwards I started reading fan-atic's other fics.

She's Different's main character was Jongin. Aka Kai. He was a big flirt in this story hence I didn't really like his character here. But then his pictures attracted me and HOLY he was so hot!!! :O so Kai sort of became my third official bias after Kris and Tao lol. When I learnt that Kai was an awesome dancer and that he learnt ballet, I was so surprised but still I found him manly lol. His tanned skin and plump lips lol omg. Okay. Control.

The third fic I read from her was The Empty Bus Seat. Lay was the main character. He was super forgetful and blur but cute in this fic. In the end even before this fic ended Lay became my new bias lol. Plus plus plus!!! I have a soft spot for people with dimples cause I think they're super cute!!! And guess what??? Lay has dimples!!! :D can you imagine me shrieking lol cause many people think I'm reserved and quiet but haha now you see my fangirl side! ;D

In the end I ended up googling EXO, all their information and like how each member got into SM. and like how Luhan was talent spotted in Myeongdong(?) during a school immersion trip and Tao actually knows wushu!

Afterwards I started to like EXO more and more haha :D most of my fanfics are based on EXO... But then again though I like them, I don't consider myself as a crazy fan. I only read up on them/ check out their new songs or videos when I have the time. I don't especially stalk their pages (if they even have) or watch their broadcasts ASAP. So whenever people ask me who my idols are, though I like SNSD and EXO, and am their fan, but again I'm not a fan ;_; contradicting much??? I won't go specially buy their albums, or go to their concerts. Like maybe I'm just a fan online?
