reason 1 : the visuals

It's no question that being pretty is a MAJOR requirement when it comes to being a female kpop idol.

male kpop idols always have their personilities and actual talent to fall on (as it should be) but if you aren't what the media in korea considers "cute" or "pretty" then prepare to a world of neitzens bashing you and the media following your every move for a mistake. 

Another thing that isn't very hot in korea is unique beauty. 

recent girl groups like 'Lovelyz' 'Oh My Girl' 'G-Friend' 'CLC' 'Cupid'  'Dia' and 'Unicorn' all pretty much have the same image as the "Cute" concepted girl groupd before them.

cute, pale, skinny, with mediocre talent (because they all really sound alike but with different beats)

and while i do find their songs intresting, that's about it. 

they dont really captivate your attention as an idol should.

groups that did that well are groups like;

'2ne1' 'SNSD' 'SISTAR' '4Minute' 'Wonder Girls' 'f(x)' 'Rubber Soul' 'Brown Eyed Girls' Girls' Day' 'Miss A' or 'Davichi'.

girl groups that have very different images from one another, different voices to follow, and continue to get your attention.

Twice is added to this list.

Reason 2 : Their talent

Twice started out as nothing more than a competion to see how would be JYP's "Next Girl Group"

Suzy, Jo Kwon, Ga In and other artist who knew what JYP had in mind for the group all said they were shocked as he never had competions to see how was next to debut. i personally wish he had done english subs for his videos as i HATE watching videos with pitched voices but the preformaces the girls did were always their best. They all worked hard to show they were more than just a face.

Momo, Mina, and Tzuyu (which is pronouced 'Chewy' which blows my mind) are all beautiful but can dance their asses off.


Momo knows how to move so fluidly it's amazing. She honestly reminds me of a female version of Kai. I think with a bit of vocal training, this chick could have EASILY been the next big soloist in korea.




Mina is a ballad dancer, and a damned good one at that. She trained the least amount of time in JYP but still managed to work her way to the top.



Tzuyu was voted the best face of the group and for only being 16 you gotta admit this girl is very beautiful (lets pray her monolids stay) but while she's very pretty she's also a very good dancer.



 

i havent seen so much fierce dancing and confidence from a female idol since Minzy and Momo is doing it so~ well.

While both Mina and Tzuyu also seems focused with keeping their images, their moves are always graceful and confident.

Twice has very strong dancers under them.

also there's Dahyun

aside from our 4 3 dancers, we have our vocalist.

If i learned anything from successful groups like SNSD or Exo, it's that a good group will need it's dancers to give visually to dances while the vocalist keep you enamored with their voices.

along with that, the voices have to be distinctful.

It is very easy to tell GD from TOP or Suzy from Min or Tiffany from Taeyeon etc.

Here we have many voices to love.
 

Jihyo - who has given half her life for her dream, has hands down the best voice in Twice.

Nayeon has improved even more and even though i didn't like her much at first (personal) her and her smile grew on me.

Chaeyeong has the flow i loove~. she already has been writing her own lyrics and im so impressed with her.

You can't deny this talent really, Twice has very amazing vocals that will carry them far.

and last but not least we have a double wammies.

the ones who can sing, rap, and dance, AND have the personailties that will be approved on out favorite variety shows!

Sana, please. She's the funniest member to me and her image doesnt seem to matter, she does what she wants lmao.

Dahyun is my third bias she's so funny you can not like her. her eagle dance is life xD

and last but not least is Jeongyeon! Wow i love her. Her voice, her style, her dancing, and her personaility is like that friend we all want lol

and last reason

Reason 3 : Their compatibility

Its no real secret that some girl groups arent even close and only sing after another person. 

theres no real teamwork and love just....songs they perform together.

Ex. Secret and T-ara and yeah, even SNSD.

Secret seems to be a girl group who's in it for their dreams and nothing else, to me there's no real connection between the members; the same for T-ara.

As for SNSD, we can all see their love is there and there's this bond there but i feel they will always do what they feel is right for their group and fans before any of the other members. i know i dont know the full situation of what happened with jessica but we all have our guess and none of them are good. my theory was that jessica was overworking herself with school and meetings and starting her own business that the group felt she wouldnt give her all when it came to the group as a whole so they did what they had to.

a bit off topic but all the same.

but other groups like Stellar and 2ne1 and Wonder Girls and Miss A all appear to have a compatibility where they are there for one another through hardtimes or not.

from the start, the Twice members never felt the need to overpower with their talent and show whos better than who or etc, they all seemed to have natual fun with one another and even giving each other advice on how to succeed or what to improve themselves on. The girls seem to enjoy each other's company and that's another big thing that people look for.

in my opinion, Twice is a group to keep your eyes on

IF JYP treats them right (which im postive he will) i think Twice will be as successful as their sunbaes one day.

But~ that's just me lol
