Ever since I was little I believed aliens existed.

I would watch all the alien documentaries, peek over the couch during all the horror films, and become a dedicated reader to every theory surrounding any flying saucer seen or flashes of light without explanation. My parents thought it was a bad influence on me, only being a kid and trying to wrap my head around the unknown -or, to them, the “false”. But they left me to my obsession.

It wasn't until middle school that I began sneaking out at night to watch the sky with my closest friends Sandeul and Jinyoung. All of us were just waiting for that disc to float over us, lift us up into the ship and answer all our questions, maybe even probe us! The thought made me excited, to be a part of an alien experiment- Sandeul and Jinyoung didn't agree. By the time we graduated high school they had dropped out of my obsession, and while we attended the same college, I was the only one left to watch the sky.
