Lee Jung Suk's Truth

Taeyoung........least to say, was shocked.

No, cross that, he was utterly shocked.

Leaning against the wall of one of the many training rooms in SM, Taeyoung couldn't help but allow his eyes to widen at the dozens of fans crowding the building ever since he walked in. He knew he would have fans some time in the future, he was being trained by EXO after all, but he never imagined that it would happen so quickly, especially when he hadn't even officially debuted to the public. I mean, they were even holding out posters with his name on it and he could even hear their shouts all the way from the twelfth floor of the building.

'Seriously......they barely even know me.'

Wiping at the sweat gathering on his forehead, Taeyoung nearly jumped in the air as he heard the soft pat of footsteps walking closer and closer to him. It was almost too silent if you asked him, as if the guy was used to walking in a way to avoid attention from others. Glancing behind him in curiosity, Taeyoung stiffened as he saw Hansol taking another step towards him until he was standing side by side with him. It wasn't like Taeyoung was avoiding the other, scratch that, it was the complete opposite if anything. Ever since he had last saw him when the other was taking pictures of him for Tae's school project, he had felt the need to fix the relationship between them. Especially when he had shoved the other away when he felt them being watched. But that was proving more difficult than he wished, mainly since he kept getting the cold shoulder from the other. Seriously, ever since he walked into the training room two hours ago and was on the receiving end of a lecture from the instructor because he was "lacking" on discipline, Hansol treated him as if he was a parasite.

And by parasite, I mean literally avoiding the space he breathed in.

'Wonder what changed,' Taeyoung bitterly asked himself as his mind flashed to the time when Hansol had once woken him up by tapping against his forehead, a technique only his twin would use on him. Releasing a sad sigh, Taeyoung allowed his eyes to draw back to the fans as Hansol opened his mouth to speak.

"They've been that way ever since SM started releasing teasers of you to the public." Hansol muttered, his eyes glancing down at the fans below.

"Teasers?" Taeyoung muttered confusedly as he glanced back towards the other.

"Yeah....you haven't seen them?" As Taeyoung shook his head, Hansol couldn't help but look at him in disbelief before his eyes narrowed in suspicion, "You're so nonchalant about all of this, it's unnatural."

"Who said I wasn't excited?" Taeyoung asked as began to feel the coming of an interrogation.

"You're not fooling me Taeyoung, you have the skills, the degree, and the persona of an idol but you're lacking the attitude. Trainees have slaved away here for years, absolutely desperate for the opportunity to debut. But you? You have that and all, but you're not desperate, in fact, it's almost as if you're dreading debuting Why is that?" Hansol angrily asked, voice raising with each passing word.

Taeyoung felt his hands clench at his sides as he really looked at Hansol. With his brownish hair swept to the side and his tank top stuck to him from all his sweat, he looked overworked if the eyebags under his eyes were anything to go by. Taeyoung thought back to the day of the auditions, to the sight of thousands of teens practicing in the hallways of SM for their audition while he whined about being sick as he leaned against one of the many walls in the building. They had been, as Hansol said, desperate for the opportunity to be apart of this industry. While he, on the other hand, simply feared it. Nothing good could come out of all that spotlight, especially for someone so hidden into the darkness like him.

Taeyoung had taken away someone's dream of debuting by simply being here for his mission. But at the same time, it wasn't as if it was never a dream for him, because it was. Long before he had gotten so deep into Yensen, when his brother was still around, he had dreamed of being an idol. The idea of being an inspiration to people worldwide through music was something that resonated deep within him.

But it wasn't anymore.

How could it, when all he was exposed to was the sight of death and blood? Now all he wanted was revenge and his brother, he could care less about his lost dreams no matter how much they once mattered to him. Releasing a long sigh, Taeyoung glanced back down at the fans as he began speaking, his voice monteone even to his own ears.

"By being here, I've taken away someone's dream of debuting, I acknowledge that. But, I don't really think you're in the position to speak to me that way," Taeyoung stated as his eyes met the other's shocke
