"So what do you want from me, seunghyun?" you continued to stare at the ground. You hated confrontation and this was the worst kind. It had become more and more difficult to hold back your tears and you were sure he could hear the shakiness in your voice. It made the anger in you grow.

Weak. I sound weak.

"I just want you to listen," he said, somehow still calm. "I know you are angry, but please. Just hear my words."

His accent brought back a wave of memories. All you wanted was to be back in the beginning. Back to when your biggest problem was a language barrier. Now your heart was beating so fast, aching to jump out of your chest. Could Seunghyun hear it? The anxiety had become unbearable at this point.

"I've spent enough time listening to you!" you could feel a sharp pain in your palms as you clinched your fists. Stiletto nails didn't seem like such I bright idea now. "What more could you say that you haven't said already? You've gotten what you wanted now leave me alone!"

As he stepped closer your stomach dropped. His cologne seemed so much stronger now and his presence had almost become haunting. The scariest part was that you wanted him to get closer.

"I didn't get what I wanted," his words made you more angry. That's when you felt it. A single pathetic tear rolling down your cheek. You were sure your face was bright red as it always was when you felt strong emotions.

Seunghyun stepped closer raising his hand to wipe your eyes causing you to flinch away. His touch would probably break you into a thousand pieces, but you had never wanted something so much. It had been three years of secrecy and romance. Towards the end he had gotten distant. He stopped touching you and you concluded that meant he was repulsed by you.

"Please," his voice started to tremor causing his accent to get more thick. "At least look at me."

You tilted your head up just enough to glance at him. Although you weren't looking directly into his eyes you could make out tears. Could he even feel anything after throwing you away so easily?

"How can I trust you when you think I'm nothing but human garbage?" You started to raise your voice. Rage. So much rage. "Did you just want to rub it in, Seunghyun?  What more do you have to offer me but more pain?"

"I was trying to protect you!" the sharpness in his voice was startling. You lifted your head to fully meet his gaze. He looked angry in a way that was sorrowful. "They were starting to figure it out, ____! If I had ruined your career or your friendships..."

He started to mumble something in Korean as he looked away. At this point you could no longer hold the tears back. You tried to quietly sniffle to avoid a runny nose to no avail. He turned his head back to look at you, his face more relaxed.

"Seunghyun..." you looked back to your feet, trying to avoid him seeing you so damn weak. Ironically it only made you seem more submissive. "I would have given it up, all of it, for you."

You felt his hand brush your cheek, this time you tilted your head towards his touch. Seunghyun had always felt so warm against your cold skin. With his other arm he pulled you to his chest. It had only been a few months since you last felt his embrace but it seemed like an eternity. Your fingers clenched his shirt as you finally gave up on holding back the tears.

"I'm sorry..." he whispered. "I'm so sorry."
