After his father gets really sick and needs to receive treatment at one of Seoul hospitals, Kim Jinwoo finds himself and his parents forced to leave Imja island — their hometown. Some friends and acquaintances from Imja island help them with enough money to settle down. However, life in Seoul is very hard and expensive, and the hospital fees are not helping at all. For this reason, Jinwoo starts working in different part-time jobs in order to help his mother, who also works day and night to meet ends. Thanks to his competence in study and outstanding grades, Jinwoo gets a full scholarship in one of the most prestigious schools in the capital city. 

Despite all the misery and struggle to survive, Jinwoo gives his very best to accommodate between his personal life and studies. However, life has more challenges to offer him.
